It had a lot more action than any RE game back in the day.

And I didn't find nemesis as intimidating as in the re3 remake.

But yeah, Nemesis dropping us on the floor and doing nothing, is a bit retarded...

Yeah I remember him popping up now and then, you had to fight or run. I don’t ever recall him being intimidating. if he is going to be a super charged MrX we are gonna be in for a rough ride.

Seriously tho, what is with all the hate against Jill?
I saw this with the RE2 remake too and how people were hating on Claire for being ugly ( she wasn't? ).

Look, I don't like the obsession with realism in AAA gaming right now. I think that it's boring and I do think that game devs do hold back a lot with female characters as to not upset the usual suspects.
But cmon, the Japanese are actually pretty good at making distinct and memorable faces. They don't all look mostly the same like in Western games.
People did the same with Trish and Lady in DMC5 and it just makes me think that people are just so obsessed with the whole SJW thing that they're just hating on them for the sake of it or they've actually never seen a real woman before in their entire lives.
Trish, Lady, Claire, Jill ( and Ada, I didn't see many complain about her tho ).
They're all attractive women.
Jill is very dirty in most of the footage which makes sense and she's not all dolled up with make up etc which Ada kinda was.
But she's not ugly and she doesn't look like a man.
I still strongly prefer Julia Voths face but people are really going completely off the rails and only seem to complain about Jills new face just so that they can complain about SJW's. Which I really don't think that the Japanese gives a single fuck about.
Even with all the cursing and all that, that was introduced in RE7 and I think that it's just because they're going with a cool, edgy and angsty action hero thing with the new games. Even Leon got a foul mouth in RE2 which honestly didn't make much sense to me at all. I was a little surprised that Ada didn't curse every 2 seconds too.

I know that this is OAG here: https://www.oneangrygamer.net/2020/...lay-video-shows-jill-dont-need-no-man/103996/
And OAG is like the lowest of the low when it comes to the whole anti-SJW thing and is a joke even to most anti-SJW's.
But this rant of his is honestly not that far off from the shit I see people say outside of OAG too.
People are just going crazy with this, I see so much hate towards the game and Jill like this everywhere and it was the same with Claire and the odd ones about Ada too.

The art direction in this game is a massive step up from the RE2make, in my opinion, which left me pretty disappointed in that front.

3make can't get here soon enough. I need it.

I hope that they will make it longer than RE2 Remake.
Because.... producer Peter Fiabiano, and directors Kadoi and Anpo realised how fast the speed-runners are able to finish their game.

RE2make is as long if not longer than REmake, the original RE trilogy, and RE7 if you take into account that you can skip cutscenes and there are no door buffer screens. I just wish the 2nd Runs actually offered substantial new content like the B Scenarios in the original.

I'm hoping RE3make is around the same length, but with more modes for replace value. I want items and enemies to be randomized or at least moved around in the Hardcore difficulty.

They didn't make any distinct faces at all, in fact, they didn't make any of them. All of the faces in RE2make, and RE3make are literally just scanned in models. They didn't hand model them based off of real people like they did in the old games, they straight up just scanned them in. Same with Nemesis and the entire DMC5 cast and their clothing.

Trish, Lady, Claire, Jill ( and Ada, I didn't see many complain about her tho
They're all attractive women.

They're all uglier versions of much more attractive women in real life. Claire especially got hit with the caveman stick.

The fact that you think they're attractive is fine, but it's absolutely pointless and silly to get upset that other people don't think so. It's entirely subjective. It's not worth the mindspace to get upset about.

Jill looks vastly improved compared to Claire. However, I'm not 100% they're being uglified on 'woke' purposes. For example, Ada looks amazing, which means the intention to make them beautiful is there. Anette looks unattractive because they wanted to make her look like an unkempt woman who was absorbed in her work, neglecting her looks.

Maybe they intended to make Claire look plain in order to make her look like an everyday girl thrown into this mess. However, they should have chosen a 'plain' looking model and stick with it instead of taking a gorgeous woman and making her 'uglier' in order to achieve this.

Jill looks way more real and feminine than Claire however. She's still not looking like an escort, but she doesn't look like a caveman either. She's supposed to be an action hero, so she *should* look manlier in her expression. I mean, this whole 'I look like I'm about to go to Next Top Model while at the same time I'm about to kill zombie dogs and Nemesis' look the actresses had in the old RE flicks was kind of off-putting for me. Killed my suspension of disbelief.

That's just me, though.

You lost me here, no one needs to look manly to be an action hero. I find that to be a ridiculous assertion.

The reason Jill was wearing a "top model" type outfit in RE3 was because she was out for a night on the town when SHTF. So she grabbed her shit and immediately set out to survive.

I would also hazard a guess that Capcom could very likely have been wary of "journalists" on websites having tantrums about Jill's outfit so they changed her default attire to something more generic female action hero. I wouldn't bet on it though, it is likely just another part of this crusade to drain all life and character from the Resident Evil series in an effort to and make it more gritty hollywood than B movie.

You might want to brush up on your Resident Evil lore, there. Unless you think Jill was having the time of her life on the town with her gun the day after the town was infested with zombies and the RPD got annihilated. Just so you know, that RE3 intro where all the cops and UBCS are getting killed?; That takes place 2 days before you take control of Jill.

The outbreak didn't happen in the blink of an eye, Jill was well aware days before. Her classic outfit is stupid. but sure, SJW conspiracy, forced diversity, the fall of the west, "DOWN OUR THROATS", yadda, yadda, yadda.

Azelover

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
Nemesis was a little nerve wracking to me. A little scare like that is good, but only while it's still fun.

Shouldn't be overdone.

Super excited for this after RE2 Remake. I never actually finished the original on PlayStation (the only game in the main series I haven't played through). Have had it pre-ordered from GMG for months now.

I can own up to misrembering things, I don't have this stuff memorized, but Jill was clearly taken off guard by the outbreak.

Her classic outfit is stupid.

Why? It's just a casual off duty getup. She's not meant to be prepared for the outbreak. It's no more stupid than a single person taking on a horde of zombies, a giant terminator like monster, and overcoming all of it.

but sure, SJW conspiracy, forced diversity, the fall of the west, "DOWN OUR THROATS", yadda, yadda, yadda.

What the fuck are you even talking about? I never said that. Go get on your pedestal and yell at someone else. This is stupid.

Her classic outfit is stupid.
Because RE is known for smart and cohesive writing. Whether you liked the old look or not, her new getup is uninspired. She's dressed exactly like Claire and Mia were, and all of them look like they're trying to emulate the reboot Lara Croft look. It's boring. It doesn't matter since the old look is a preorder bonus anyways, but I would have prefered a unique middle ground. At least keep the tied hoodie around the waist with the new outfit. Have her wear the hoodie or a jacket. Add the bloused cargo pants from her STARS outfit. ANYTHING to make it more distinctive.

Also, stop equating everyone who doesn't like the new clothes with right wing politics. I'm sure there are plenty of people who are arguing for the old outfit for that exact reason, but I'd bet they're a minority.

Well....I'm pretty excited for it to come out. Been thinking about buying the April Edge magazine just for the Resident Evil 3 info. Maybe I should stream it...

Carlos looks like he bought a clown wig from a costume store then dyed it “emo” black.
I’m still gonna get it, but it looks as silly as Nemesis with “Caution” stickers all over him.

I haven't even played RE2 Remake yet and I plan to get this.

Having never played either of the originals (2 and 3), I'm excited.

Producer Peter Fabiano opened up on the character's practical redesign for this remake. He said, “When we approached Jill, if you look at the original we had to do what we needed to make her stand out.

“But with this game, everything is on a photorealistic level; it’s more of a believable atmosphere we’re trying to create. We want to have a Jill that fit in that, but still stayed true to her original personality and essence. And that’s really how we came about the new Jill.”

On top of that, Edge's Chris Schilling got the chance to spend a few hours with the game, exploring how Nemesis and Racoon City have evolved in the latest Resident Evil remake, as well as taking on the new multiplayer add-on, Project Resistance. The new issue also includes concept art for Resident Evil 3, giving us a look at early sketches of Jill, Carlos, and some of the locations you'll be trying to avoid Nemesis in. Our personal favourite is the look at Moon's Donuts, if only for the ablaze zombie in the corner.

This just oozes with gore, color, and carnage. The graphics are absolutely stunning, as expected. I do like how they're somewhat deviating from the original!

Seriously though, it's crazy how people think everything is a result of SJWs being annoying.
Also Jesus christ I checked the comments in that article, it's like a zoo full of retarded gorillas lmao.

**Possible new enemy type spoilers**

Nemesis can revive dead zombies by injecting them with his parasite, possibly powering them up. This was also hinted at in Rock Paper Shotgun's video where they stated that Nemesis can "empower" zombies, but they weren't allowed to go into detail. Also, Resident Evil Database mentioned that there is a brand new enemy type they came across in their time with the game, but they weren't allowed to talk about it. Could it be this new parasite zombie? Is so, it sounds very similar to Crimson Heads, which sounds great. Would this make them Parasite Heads?

Should be interesting if it does happen. Peter Fabiano also hinted new creatures, therefore it might be possible...

You know, Crimson heads were something awesome. However the fact that the RE2Remake art showed some planned new enemies for the game, which were eventually axed, was a truly missed opportunity. However, one new type of enemy appeared in the Ghost Survivors after all.

Therefore, if Nemesis can actually revive and create infected Crimson Heads, then that's gonna be awesome.

Educated guess.

But if it turns out to be not true...

I'll be spread eagle and ready.

The Pale Heads in Ghost Survivors looked awesome. I really wish those enemies were in the lab of the base game to make the area feel more distinct and threatening.

I wonder if these new Nemesis resurrected zombies will look and act differently, or if they'll just be normal zombies again. I'm hoping its something more mutated, like what we saw in the RE2 concept art, or something along the Los Plagas with the parasites bursting from zombie heads to attack Jill.

Also Jesus christ I checked the comments in that article, it's like a zoo full of retarded gorillas lmao.

I personally highly prefer cartoony and also very sexualized characters and all that.
But it's just more about staying in tune with the setting you create, I typically don't like realistic looks in games but that doesn't make it '' SJW ''.
I really fucking hate it when people complain that characters and games I enjoy are '' oversexualized '', but to me sitting around calling Jill ugly or complaining that Aloy in HZD isn't sexy enough is the same thing.
I don't like Aloys design and I don't like the realistic graphics, but that doesn't mean that there's an agenda behind it or that I need to go crazy about it.

I do think that the industry has severely overcompensated with the whole '' sexy women are bad '' mentality and that people still do overreact a lot to female characters having any overt sex appeal. But people complaining about Jill are really just the other side of the same coin to me.
I'd perhaps be a little bit mad if her original costume wasn't in the game, or maybe disappointed is a better word for it. But mainly because it'd feel like a wasted opportunity for some fanservice ( not the sexual one, I just mean something that the fans of the original game will enjoy. Not all fanservice is sexual. ).

I also don't think that the Japanese give a shit really.
They still had Ada in a red dress and heels this time for some reason which she didn't wear in the original. And I mean that was a very tight dress and Ada looked very beautiful, they clearly don't care.
I think that sometimes they might say something to western outlets just to get the outlets to shut up about it but I don't think that they actually care about it. I think that they'll just make the game they want to make. The notion that the devs for RE3 are some kind of SJW's or that they've been pressured by the SJW's to make Jill ugly is just hilariously stupid.
SJW's are a thing, but people also just use them as a scapegoat and a boogeyman a lot.

Resident Evil always had a realistic aesthetic too to begin with. The graphics are just way better now, but they always aimed for the realism of the time.
And as far as female protagonists in a video game with realistic graphics Ada, Claire and Jill are honestly very attractive. I do think that western devs sucks ass at this, but the Japanese still make them look quite attractive.
People complained about Lady and Trish too but I thought they were hot too.
