Time for some good old fashioned natural selection. Anyone who thought Echoes wasn't the best of the Metroid Prime games, stand to the side over there. *cocks shotgun*

The rest of you can hand in your applications.

Pinball was the best.

Donkey Kong 3D, Banjo-Kazooie style!

Metroid is being done by Intelligent Systems in their new fururistic spaceship-building!

I bet they will be working on Mario Kart after DK ships to get it out earlier.
Considering MK8 will be out most likely 2-3 months after DK's release there's nothing they can really do to help EAD with the game.

I doubt it. They are probably working on an even more otaku friendly Fire Emblem and another Paper Mario that isnt an RPG.

A part of the team could be already helping out. I don't think the entire team is needed for Donkey Kong a month before release.

No idea how you're deriving Metroid from this. Wishful thinking, and man you wouldn't see a game till like 2016 . . .

I don't see any Metroid in it. It's just what many people want so I'm obviously teasing you.

I actually hope so, they did a good job with the retro tracks on 7.

Anything to get the game out around when it's supposed to be out.

Yup. People will complain but it's a great outcome. They have the knowledge and technical experience since they've worked on the previous MK which was in a similar situation (system wasn't selling and they needed MK out asap) with great success.

Even if they work on a game everyone wants next like Metroid it'll be a long way off unless they pull some crazy tick out of their sleeves so I'd rather they work on something that has an immediate effect first.

Retro is the studio I want to see make a new IP the most out of any studio anywhere.

But I think their has been enough sly Metroid winks and nods from them that yeah.... its probably another one of those.
