His
death scene
in The Sopranos was absolutely unforgettable. And of course the shine box scene from Goodfellas is GOAT.

Well, shit. :(

Been on a Sopranos rewatch lately and I'm up to where Phil's present again. Terrific stuff from him, and GoodFellas is my favorite movie of all time, so he'll be doubly missed.

R.I.P.

Amazing in Goodfellas.

He was a big cigar smoker and it seems it was some issues with his heart that prompted the surgery. RIP.

aka guy who played every white-haired mobster in movies for 30 years.

RIP, I'll always remember the way he could twist his face into iron hate at the snap of a finger.

Always my fun fact about him and Pesci, especially considering their onscreen roles together (Raging Bull, Goodfellas, and Vincent finally getting his revenge in Casino).

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Pesci joined fellow actor Frank Vincent in performing in local clubs including the Arlington Lounge and other venues around North Jersey as Vincent and Pesci. The comedy duo's material was a play on Martin and Lewis and Abbott and Costello. In 1975, they appeared in the Broadway show The New Vaudevillians, which only lasted one week.[4]

Just finished watching the sopranos a couple of weeks ago ....greAt role as Phil... the scene where he is talking to butchy before they cut to the christening scene was one of the best endings to any episode of tv.
