Rumor: Forza Horizon 6 Release Date Leaked - May 15th Early Access - May 19th Retail Release

Nah, you may enjoy driving around aimlessly but complaints regarding the progression system are very common now, they'd be foolish to ignore them
Its a fine line. If people are stuck driving a Sentra for 30 minutes to get the money for a Porsche Cayenne then people will quickly regret complaining.

Yea I know people have much shorter attention spans nowadays but there is a balance to be had, their current solution is too far the other direction

I can't speak for others but for me it's more about time management. It's why I stopped playing Forza Motorsport (the latest one) after only a few hours when it first came out, there was so much time put in but so little progress being made. If the Dev's can find a happy medium that would be great.

We shall hopefully know soon enough.

so, they just confirmed the return of the campaign system of the first game essentially....

I am very relieved to hear that!

wristbands that unlock higher tier races, which is essentially how the original worked.

Its not shorter attention span - it's just there are plenty of other games with a grind to get cars and a career progression. Forza Horizon is the game where if you want to drive 'x' car then you pretty much can with minimal time input. Its more a car wish fullfilment game than a racing sim.
I do think they need to cool it on the wheelspin thing - I'm sure it's so people don't focus in on 10 cars out of the 100's they have in game but it's just never exciting to 'win' a car through it.

If that's the intent, the psychology of the wheel spin doesn't work on me. I'd be very surprised if the number of cars I've tried in recent titles has gotten up to 20 and the cars I've spent significant time with is probably much closer to 5.

The GR GT looks so good in any color but grey.....WTF is wrong with GR and choosing GRey to debut their cars.

Tech looked out of this world, but it looks the same old game and sorry the Japan setting is doing nothing for me.
But it be worth playing since its on Gamepass and just to see what will be the best looking console game so far.

Yup, it looks like a generic GTA V car in grey. Man I hate black wheels though, it's the worst modern trend. I'll be painting those pupies silver like God intended
