Abe is a former Tekken dev who moved to Nintendo in the late 90s. He directed or co-directed 1080 snowboarding, Pikmin 1 & 2, Metroid Prime Hunters, and was a designer for Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!

i'm sure it'll be a very interesting 3ds eshop title

... I'm actually not upset by this.

Dillon's Rolling Western has evolved nicely, as have Crashmo and Pushmo. I welcome this. I think it'd be an interesting new way for Nintendo to feel for what works in terms of IP before going gang-busters on a full out title.

Why do you think "original title" means "original IP"? Are you sure you're representing that tweet reply correctly?

"on some Nintendo original title" sounds like a non native speaker making a mistake. I get the impression he just means "works at Nintendo now"

He could be trying to say "Nintendo games." There's no singular/plural in Japanese and while Harada does know some English it's not amazing

The NFC feature was highlighted on the latest GT tv show with Reggie. He mentioned they are making a game to take advantage of it. It wouldn't be crazy to assume its a new IP.

Yep. That's where Nintendo puts out all their new IP's, and with the performance of games like W101, it will probably stay that way.

Which isn't a good idea. Nintendo needs new big and ambitious IPs capable to compete with their big tier titles. Restricting new IPs to be niche titles only wouldn't be good for people seeking new stuff.

if it's an original IP, i bet it sells between 10k and 20k.

Well, we know they're making an NFC game. Nintendo would seem to be the company that could make a hit off that technology(Please don't count pokemon rumble, lol).

They were probably envious to see how big Skylanders got, wishing they had come up with the idea first.

Miyamoto making a beat em up revenge game against drug lords.

Wut. I'm going to file this in my "no way in hell" drawer.

Especially since Miyamoto hasn't taken up busting drug lords as a recent hobby haha.

Zelda game where you have to buy all of Link's weapons. LBW taken to the worst extreme.

That we know of...

I dunno. Are there any recent quotes from him about revenge and crime? He's seemingly extra quiet about this new game of his. Plus how would a concept like this even use the gamepad?

It's why I didn't bring this vid to anyone's attention sooner. It's seemingly too unbelievable.

Could be talking about this

Anyone could use a pitch shifter on a Japanese friend's speech and pair it with sketches from your Deviantart Scraps folder. Hell, even I could honestly make a video like this. There's not much to it, considering the amount of titles that have also been "leaked" by "Random Nintendo Employees" in similar vids by other fanboys.

This shouldn'tve even been discussed, if you ask me. (In a serious manner anyway. If it was brought up just to point and laugh at it, that's slightly better.)
