Rumor: Xenoblade Chronicles X coming to Switch within first 6 months

Looks better than N64 launch. And of course, the big deal is that Mario is back at launch like it used to be (we knew this already, but it's still big to me).

A Nintendo without Mario at launch is tough. Wii could do it because it had a packed launch lineup.

Xenoblade X on Switch is cool--hopefully they will do some tweaks to it, maybe boost the graphics if possible in some ways.

Having new Mario, Xenoblade X, and Zelda coming relatively soon, it is tempting me to pick one up. I said I wouldn't get a new Nintendo system after the WiiU, but having it be portable is a huge boon for me. Might just have to opt for it.

I would love to give Xenoblade X another go. I spent a lot of time playing it, although I never beat it before selling my collection, sadly.

EDIT: Also, I hope Nintendo is aggressive with letting us play digital ports of Wii games on the Switch. I'd love to get into The Last Story again.

Basically, what she and Emily did was finding rumors from various sources, verify it to the point that they're confident enough (Laura's method seemed to be verifying it from multiple sources) to post it as rumors. I don't believe any of them had any intention of lying. If they are wrong, it's simply due to the nature of an unannounced work in progress.

This is how I see it too, things change in development so we shouldn't expect everything we hear about to become an actual product.

finally Nintendo showing for once they care about their single-player fanbase (who skipped the WiiU)

now, if they manage to do ports of Pikmin 3 and DK: Tropical Freeze, then I'll be a very happy Switch owner.

The big fucking picture is to source the info in the thread. The thread is about Xenoblade X port. You made it about Switch line-up.
If only there was some way to trim the unnecessary information, link sources for those wanting more and focus, if only.

Going by the history of DKC I think we should expect a Tropical Freeze port. Every DKC has a handheld version.

It's a lot of ports but this is just Nintendo trying to salvage something from the carcass of the Wii U. These are all great games that were restricted to a tiny audience on a dead platform. They deserve another chance on a new platform. We are still getting new Zelda, Mario and Pikmin titles as well as the ports.
Pokemon is not a port too

Imagine this incredibly small UI in a "portable" screen like the Switch.

It's been stated that the Switch's screen would be roughly the same size as the WiiU's GamePad, so it would proooobably not look amazing.
No doubt they will redesign the UI to some extent.

Never even played much on my WiiU. Haven't touched FE# much either. Wonder if that will hit switch too. Will probably still just play them on WiiU so those purchases weren't a waste

I wonder how long in the switches life I'll have to wait for the Wii U ports to stop. Not that I'd have any problem skipping this one especially, game isn't fit to clean the boots of Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii), let alone be deserving of a port.

I really do hope most of these rumours are wrong, I just can't get over my thoughts of "People didn't buy a wii u for these games. Why would they buy a switch?" and "What happens to the output when Nintendo runs out of Wii U games to port, console dies again?"

It just occurred to me... how are we going to read that tiny, tiny text on the Switch screen? ^_^

Compare MH3U on Wii U and 3DS, the Wii U's text is even smaller than Xenoblade X's. I think we might get some UI optimisation when switching between handheld and dock mode.

Man they go further than intended with extremely limited demo, thanks to the magic of datamining. Just give us the Plateau from E3 and put an "evil Ganon barrier" around it.

Works with a Switch demo, but it would be hacked around on a Wiiu Version.

Going by the history of DKC I think we should expect a Tropical Freeze port. Every DKC has a handheld version.

I always wanted them to make an HD enhanced port of DKC Returns that makes it control like Tropical Freeze and includes all the extra content from the 3DS port, and then bundle it with TF.

It'd be a nice bonus if they brought David Wise in to redo the music, like what he did with DKC3 GBA, though they should give us the option to choose between the old and new soundtrack.

Do you realise that nobody is discussing about your hypothetical issue beside you? (and me trying to make you understand that maybe if you don't want something discussed don't open the subject yourself?)

So how about a Hyrule Warriors port? Complete edition.

1080p/60fps would be a day one buy for me.

Aha Hyrule Warriors Legends is the "almost complete edition" what would they call a third revision?

I think a sequel would make more sense for Hyrule Warriors at this point.

Believe it or not the text was fine on the GamePad.

Surprised me too when playing Off-TV.

If true then polish the game aka:

increase the font size
redesign chapter 12
fix the sound mixing, especially during cutscenes.

I think Koei Tecmo will do rather a brand new game, Hyrule Warriors 2. Maybe a bit down the roar including also BotW characters.

As someone who didn't have a Wii U, I'd welcome ports of its best games for the Switch (especially interested in Bayonetta 2, XCX and TMS)

The game was probably my 2nd biggest disappointment of the gen, since I had so much hopes after XB on Wii. It's still a pretty good game, but I won't buy it again.

Don't want to bring us too far off topic but would you prefer they delve back into past Zelda worlds or do a brand new story like half of Hyrule Warriors was?

I liked how they did it in Hyrule Warriors. I wouldn't mind either way, I guess.

I hope on January when they do the big media blow out they show a lot of new Switch titles for launch and within the first 6-12 months. We suffered through the leanest set of Nintendo offerings as all the main devs disappeared with the hope of a strong Switch launch. I have no issue giving all these Wii U games a second chance as long as it doesn't start looking like the first year is Mario and a slew of Wii U games.

I don't think that will happen but with so many Wii U games mentioned this early in the Switch lifecycle has me concerned.

I'm not gonna fight with you; you want to feel you're just and so do I, I guess.
All these misplaced posts though.

All the people complaining about ports can just sit their candy asses right down and buckle the fuck up because this train isn't stopping before Bayonetta 2 hits the Switch.
