you should take this with a of grain salt..
http://www.gamepur.com/news/22813-gta-v-story-based-dlc-support-new-san-andreas-regions-horse-riding-casino.html

As reported by Busted, it seems like Rockstar Games is working on an "episode" such as the Episode from Liberty City we played at the times of Grand Theft Auto IV.
.. covering Anthony Miller's story
Regions we first saw in GTA: San Andreas, San Fierro and Las Venturas, would also be featured in this paid DLC.
Horse riding and casino would more importantly come as part of this additional content
pls be true.

Episodes of Liberty City were happening at the same time and had a connection to the story of Niko Bellic.

Hope this is a similar situation [EDIT: If it is true.], like maybe he's just walking and talking on his cellphone when Michael
tears that guy's house down

I really doubt this is true. GTA Online is where all their GTA development time has been going to.

I'm hoping it's real (in any form really), because sp DLC is the only reason why I didn't sell the game.

As soon as they mentioned new areas i was out. I don't think that they will change map.

Building the map is, according to interviews, the hardest part about building a new GTA.
I don't think they'll build a new map for a dlc.

Two more cities just for the DLC? I'd rather believe that GTAVI will feature the original San Andreas Map.

That's an interesting idea true or not. Obviously they have said they want to expand the world to different areas before and this would be a way to do it without killing the base game. Story dlc to introduce extra region(s) which also keeps people interested in GTA online.

I can't believe they'd make whole new cities/states just for the DLC. That doesn't make any kind of sense. There's plenty of stuff in Los Santos left to set missions in, same as the GTA IV DLC.

San Fierro? Why would they create an entire new world for the DLC? Seems unlikely to me.

I'd be all over it if true, though. Especially if it turns out to look like this:

Please no, use those resources to make other game instead
Rockstar has enough sources to do multiple things.

As much as i'd like to see LV and SF, I really doubt we'd see both in a DLC. That's like another full game right there.

San Fierro and Las Venturas? Ohhh yisss.

But they've taken their sweet time, three years after initial release. I hope it's a relatively small team doing this expansion, and that the core GTA team is already working on GTA 6.

And another team on Red Dead 3.

I believe it when Rockstar announce it, not sooner or later. until then I keep on thinking that online is the focus and there's no SP DLC.

maybe I'd believe this if it were 2013, tell me why R* would spend actual money on this when gtao made way too much cash
Because it's actually being developed mainly as a GTAO expansion and they're reusing a lot of those resources to also sell a SP DLC campaign.

This would be amazing. I'd pay 60 for it.

Interesting to see if this is true. Between GTAOnline and the rumored RDR3 do they really have enough resources to feasibly make this DLC?

Especially without...THE BENZ!!!

uhh please no, how about more cool online content? no one plays GTA for single player anymore, its crap and boring. just keep building online features, it's the new COD for gamers all around..

Rockstar is making a huuuge mistake, mark my words the fanbase is going to riot, me and my buddies will boycott the current online for sure if the SP noobs get a big expansion and we dont. we will see how they like that.

I don't see what's so bad about an expansion. The game looks great. The remaster still puts some current gen games to shame.

Wasn't the original intention -- and files found in updates -- implying that the main cast were getting separate DLCs at one point? Franklin was to get Liberty City (there are new scripts for GTA IV's LC in the games files, apparently), Michael gets North Yankton, and Trevor apparently just gets the base game, though he works with Russians affiliated with GTA Online's Heist scenarios.

I can't get hype, here. I'm now at the position that assumes they planned DLC and scrapped it, just like with San Andreas back in the PS2 days.
