Shipped numbers from the April to June period without knowing how many of those they sold worldwide?
We don't know about the PS4 stock levels worldwide, only detail about this has been a few japanese retailers warning about possible shortages of the system in Japan.
There is no objective problem in launching a Slim, a more powerful PS4 model and the PSVR. Slim is replacement for the current 500GB PS4, Neo will be the premium model, PSVR will play its own game and will be more like an add-on. I think you're making a problem where there really isn't.
Being cheap doesn't mean that the manufacturer will opt for a bigger/better option. Damn, Apple still sell 16gb iPhones, and to me that's much worse than 500gb consoles.
If this choice is making costumers happy they will buy it. The price is (almost) always the most important factor, and if Sony can get away with 500gb ps4 selling like hotcakes there's no reason to up the base offering.
It's plenty if you don't hoard games on your harddrive for the 0.172% you might replay them anytime soon. I coped just fine for nearly 3 years. Only since my daughter has started playing loads of kids games have I had to upgrade. As she flicks between them all the time.
How will they have 4 different products .
Do you know when Sony is bringing out Neo ?
As i said you have no idea how much of the OG PS4 stock it left .
They could be all gone by the time Neo comes out .
I think it looks fine. Basically same design idea as current ps4 but simpler. Makes sense for a slim model.
If this were to turn out real, I think it would compliment the Neo nicely. Small, inexpensive, simple looking slim that performs identically to the current model and also the Neo probably looking more similar to the launch model with a few changes. I see no need for three models like Microsoft is doing.
Clarification: Regarding 3 models, I was referring more to the people complaining that the slim ps4 doesnt seem to include 4k output. Functionally it would be identical to the launch ps4, as opposed to Microsoft's 3 tiers.
