Highly unlikely. This just seems to be an extended Japanese version of Geoff Keighley's Astrobot demo where they'll talk about the haptics and nothing else.

I think the UI won't appear until people are already using it at home - November 10th. The first walkthrough of the UI for the PS4 was on launch day (not including Shu on a chair).

I hope this is just the beginning of a full on marketing/demonstration blitz. Maybe this week is to appease Japan and then we kick off a global marketing/demonstration campaign. Then again, the way this launch is going we will probably just get the global version of this in the next few weeks....

But but why is Sony showing new games instead of old ones? I'm dissapointed. I wanted to hear that they call the system silent while playing old games.

Honest question: other than multis and old previous gen games, do MS have any new/next gen only exclusive other than Falconeer (an indie made by a single guy) for launch?

Maybe MS split the hands-on in two halves: first day for raw BC games (those with unlocked framerate to highlight fps improvement in Series X for these cases) and maybe in a future day previous gen games who got a tweaked version for next gen (mostly the same game but selecting better visual settings of its PC version for the new console).

Since Sony has several new games for the game console launch, maybe they focus their hands on in new games from them and their partners for the new console, even if some of them are multi. I assume they start with Astro because it seems to be like a tech demo to highlight the new features of the console specially with the DualSense controller.

Spiderman, Demons Souls Ratchet and Clank are not gold yet. Do you expect Sony to create and code demos for a few japanese youtubers??
At least you can see direct gameplay running from real hardware with finished games like Godfall.

So I guess the most we get out of this is some new Astrobot footage and maybe, just maybe, a bit of UI?

I kinda doubt the latter as well, because it'd be such a bizzare way of unveiling it to the world.

To be honest, it'd be more disappointing to get new and amazing information in this format than not at all, but I reckon we must be due something decent in this coming week or so. They did a few blog posts about the games this last week, now they'll want to keep the momentum going.
