SE practically guaranteed to localize Bravely Default after 1000 signature petition!!

I wonder why SE is dragging their heels on this.
Would also be willing to put down a good amount of money for a LE comparable to the one in OP, provided Digital River has nothing to do with it.

This looks so goooood. Need another good RPG on the 3DS and this fits the bill. If everyone currently viewing the gaming forum signed it it'd already be done, sign, even if it's just to help people get the goal! :p

Thread title change is kind of cruel; initially reads like there's new news, then you get to the end and realize it's just the petition thread again.

Count me in for definitely wanting this in North America. But hey SquareEnix, anything violent, sexual or anti-christian KEEP IN THE GAME. Dont be wussies and take it out or rewrite dialogue.

I would buy the shit out of that collector's/Extra pack here in the states. Game looks amazing and from all the stuff I've heard on various podcasts/twitter it actually is.

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.
signed!
man I hope this works, glimmer of hope since Xenoblade, Last Story AND Pandora managed to come here :D

I think it's futile unless SE said they'd pay attention to a petition, and I don't think even 5000 signatures is going to do it.

They

1. asked fans what they want to see in 2013. Most answers contain Bravely Default

http://na.square-enix.com/go/thread...D_TO_IT!_Most_Anticipated_Moment_of_2013?pg=1

2. said that they have no plans to BD to go west yet, but also pointed out that will listen to fans if they demand it

http://rpgland.com/tokyo-game-show/rpgland-interviews-bravely-default-producer-tomoya-asano/

Mr. Asano: I know that we don’t have plans to bring the game over to America yet, but thank you for your interest in the game. Keep talking about it on Facebook and Twitter, and keep watching for new info from us!

3. it is already a big success in Japan, so even without the petition would make sense, but every little bit would help imo

http://www.finalfantasy.net/bdff/bravely-defaults-producer-future/

"I’d like to report to everyone that Bravery Default has broken over 300,000 copies shipped. "

Rich from IGN is trying to garner support for Bravely Default too
https://twitter.com/RichIGN/status/293445955179655168

And Kotaku had several articles about the game too, generally there is a lot of interest, but the game is not a FF and lacks the mass market awareness

Type-0, Bravely Default and Dragon Quest X/VII would be among my most anticipated games of 2013.

Instead, I'll just continue not buying Square games.

Honestly there are about equal amounts for Type 0 as well. They did VA for Type 0.... I wonder what has been holding it up :x

Signed. The backgrounds man... THE BACKGROUNDS!

The best part is that the game zooms out in these maps and you can see the whole thing exactly like in the artworks

It is a thing of beauty :)

And of course there is the 3D effect that i read gives a pop up story book feeling and is perfect fit for the game

Wasn't there a list with this game and PxZ on it slated for a 2013 release?

2013_3ds_software_leak.jpg

It turned out to be just a wish list than an actual release list

But that was nothing comparing to finding out "All the Bravest" name was reserved for a terrible iOS FF title

Though, now that i look at it again ??? Seems that could be a legid release list afterall, was the Dark Moon name and Project X confirmed at that point ?

Also Layton 5 could refer to Azran mysteries game ?

In any case, i will have to post the mandatory "take my money" pic

I've done my part. I will get a 3DS for this (and other games I've missed) if they bring this over.

I love those summons. Monsters based on modern machinery...would have never thought FF to take that kind of direction.

This game is never coming out in the US though, since 4 Heroes tanked, unless Nintendo pulls an 11th hour miracle like they did with Dragon Quest

Frankly i fail to see the connection between the two games

They looks nothing alike for one, they have a different name even and this one is a critical success in Japan and would be huge in US/Europe, since it does not seem simplistic visually like 4 Heroes and is way closer to the masterpieces of old in detail, like FF9

I dont remember people wanting 4 Heroes so much, i did not even bother with the game myself TBH, while BD is my top anticipated game right now

The lack of localization for this game gets more depressing by the day. That petition isn't helping matters.

If it was just the petition i would agree

But we have a clear sign from Square that they would make a move if fans ask it

Both from what they said about BD localization and from the fact that are asking fans what they want to see

Doing nothing about it would definitly be worst imo
