Seattle real-life superhero Phoenix Jones fights with suspect (Video)

Didn't even know there were laws allowing mutual fighting.

Maybe it was just me, but for some reason, it annoyed me a little when the individual who was holding the camera was referring to the other party as "suspects".

Pretty tame.

I had a mma cage fighter friend who said two dudes jumped him. He knocked out one and was banging the other ones head into something as the cops came. Clerk said they jumped people a lot.

They and martial artists can kick some ass but they can't stop a bullet.

So the police allow him to fight?

Apparently, if both sides agree, it's OK (read in the description).

he police officers move in and tell the suspects friends that the suspect agreed to fight and in Washington that is legal but if either of them touch phoenix without consent they will be arrested for assault.

HAHA, that's great.

Was that a cheap shot? Its' hard to tell, but it kinda looks like the guy in orange did put his hands down. I dont' know if he was saying he gave up or he just got tired, but it looked like he relaxed just prior to getting knocked down.

Eitherway, dude in the orange deserved it.

edit: heh, "MAH HOMIE CALLED QUITS, YO BRO"

edit: apparently the youtube description cleared up the bit i was wondering about. Apparently, the dude in the orange still tried playing it tough right until the end.

What are the Mutual Combat laws in Texas? Curious.. Come on, we have Castle Doctrine.

Pretty much the same from my understanding.

Mutual Combat or Consent—Two people voluntarily get into a fight. The loser cannot claim assault just because he lost the fight.

... a defense usually used for misdemeanor assault.

He's a fucking superhero and you aren't. What's so hard to understand about that?

Phoenix Jones prepares to face the night. He has his mask, he has his camera, and he has his mutual combat consent forms.

Last clean leg kick was brutal, almost folded him. Drunk punk vs trained fighter usually ends like that.

Dude should've quit as soon as he witnessed the footwork.

So America will basically let me dress up as fucking Batman and fight crime and beat the shit out of mean people as long as it's of mutual consent. You know, sometimes I love this country.

That fight lasted way too long. He should've been neutralized within seconds. He needs to watch the last few scenes of the Dark Knight for guidance.
