The guy is a fucking idiot who is going to get someone killed.
Hopefully it's not one of the kids who follow him.

People should really stop giving him attention.

Apparently, if both sides agree, it's OK (read in the description).

he police officers move in and tell the suspects friends that the suspect agreed to fight and in Washington that is legal but if either of them touch phoenix without consent they will be arrested for assault.

HAHA, that's great.
Can't decide if that's really cool or really weird and dangerous.

Didn't his secret identity already get revealed? He's like Ironman now. He's vulnerable.

I'd normally agree.

But this is Seattle we are talking about.

The SPD are more likely to gun down an innocent person just walking down the street than they are to actually go look for crimes to stop or people to help.

Yep. The moment I realize that someone could kick me like that, I would've stopped and realized that he knows his MMA and I don't.

And you think that idiot is going to help in any shape or form?
Fuck him, fuck him hard, he need help, not encouragement.

Do I really need to explain why vigilantism is bad?

Phoenix Jones is the man, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I had the privilege of going on patrol with him for a night last year and it was pretty cool to see his routine/how his crew functions. Yes, it's a bit comical, but they're all extremely serious and dedicated to their "cause" which in itself is pretty admirable. My friend trains with him at one of the local boxing gyms and says he's a beast.

He needs to grow the fuck up.

Heh.

The little guy is like a hyena until shit gets real and his bigger friend goes down, so off goes the shirt and the bigger threats.

It's like real-life shonen anime.

Spoken like a true criminal who's terrified of Phoenix Jones.

They have helped numerous people in fact.

Do I really need to explain why vigilantism is bad?

No you don't need to explain why vigilantism is bad.

This isn't vigilantism.

They aren't enacting punishments, or doing anything illegal or "unauthorized." They are looking around trying to stop crimes.

It's no more a vigilante act than someone randomly spotting a crime happening and attempting to stop it.

They also help people stuck on roads and whatnot.. I've had SPD drive right past me when I attempted to wave them down when I needed help.

I've had SPD officers tell me "don't talk to homeless people" when I was asking them to help me stop a homeless man from ASSAULTING me repeatedly as I walked down the street, right in front of them.

And I've had SPD officers accuse me of lying, rather than help me, when I was robbed at gunpoint.

So if some random guy wants to do the job they refuse to do, so be it. I'd normally not suggest it, but in Seattle's case.. it's a breath of fresh air.

Another example for you:

These guys attempt to stop people from drunk driving?

I knew a group of alcoholic girls who had 2 SPD officers on speed dial.

Every single weekend they'd drive downtown.. get wasted.

And then have the SPD guys they flirted with for favors follow them home.. to ensure they weren't pulled over for DUI. Even though they all lived in another city.. these cops would, on their shifts.. follow them home.. would take them at least an hour of their shift to do it.

One of these girls? Ended up eventually getting 2 DUI's on her own.. including an accident where she injured innocent people.

That's the SPD I know.

That fight lasted way too long. He should've been neutralized within seconds. He needs to watch the last few scenes of the Dark Knight for guidance.

dark knight has some of the dumbest amateurish h2h fighting scenes in film

They find crimes, and call the cops. I'm okay with it.
No, that not what the idiot do.
You don't need costume to call the cops, you need a fucking cellphone.

He bother people, repeatedly, and half the time it's homeless men.
Oh, and he heroically peppered sprayed occupy protests.

Honestly question, did you ever had interaction with that guy?

... I'm honestly not passionate enough about this subject to argue with you.

He didn't pepper spray anyone. One of his cohorts did.. and IIRC the people were vandalizing buildings and trying to break into one.

"Protestors."

But I'm with you.. I don't care that much about Phoenix Jones.. but man.. the SPD do piss me off.. and they help NO ONE in our city. At the very least these guys are going around helping people who need it.

If they are also harassing homeless people and protestors.. well.. still better than the SPD.

They haven't randomly murdered any homeless people have they?

Yea but it got the job done. Phoenix was dancing with this drunk guy for ages.

in his defense. His life wasnt in danger and it was

MUTUAL KOMBAAAT

I'm sure if he had a knife or gun and his life was in danger he would have gone more lethal with his attacks. (before dying)

Plus his hopping around and leg kicks were his way of physically communicating to him that he was out of his league and that he shouldn't continue the fight

It just seems to me like a super hero wouldnt bother with stupid little street fights.

Batman, Daredevil, Spider-man, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Huntress, Nightwing, etc, etc. lots of heroes do. they help out when the big boys are fighting the cosmic stuff. but it's mostly to keep the peace in the city while the Justice League is ducking it out with Darkseid.

He needs to grow the fuck up.

the city is in chaos, what would you have him do?

I must know what this is from

CW series, Arrow. it's pretty good.
