I like Persona series a lot but If I see trailer of Persona 6 before gameplay trailer for SMTV, I'm gonna be super pissed.

I see nothing wrong with that. If SMTV is having trouble with development, why should the Persona team hold off on revealing a completely different game? So if they are doing fine with Persona 6's development, I see no issue with them doing a reveal.

Because they need to get their goddamn thumbs out of their asses and deliver the game that they promised.

Persona can fucking wait.

I’m not seeing SMTV or Project Re Fantasy.

The trailer for Re Fantasy and the SMT V gameplay must be lost in the same place as the Persona 5 Scramble western release. Surprised that P4 Golden hasn’t been announced for PS4 after the Steam release.

Atlus needs start treating SMT series better, that series is the flag ship title for Atlus, same way Final Fantasy is for Square Enix. I need some god damn gameplay trailer for SMTV and I need it now, Persona can wait.

Again....different teams. SMTV had development issues, nothing can be helped about that by getting mad at Persona 6's development team considering.....their different teams. It would be like asking for Resident Evil 8 trailer to "wait" cause you want a sequel to Monster Hunter World, completely disregarding they are not the same teams.

They have no relevance to each other.

So not showing a trailer for Persona 6 is not suddenly going to make me care about SMTV if I didn't already anymore then not showing Resident Evil 8 was magically going to make someone care about Monster Hunter that didn't care about it prior to.

IfuckinghateReddit IfuckinghateReddit Nah... if that team is having issues, let them sort it out. I see no reason to hinder another games development by a completely different team.

If they're having issues then they should be pulling from other teams to help them, not using other teams to start a new project.

SMT V is top priority and should be finished before anything else.
This^^ Persona team and even Zero studio should help out to finish SMTV.

^ This is really, really stupid and it's a good thing you're not in charge of a game company.

? Why would they hinder all other games based on the issues of 1 team? Let the team sort it out and they can move on. So not only would SMTV have issues, but Persona 6 development would be held back and hindered in the process? Doesn't really make a lot of sense my friend. We can disagree, thats ok, but no need to be saying this is stupid or that is stupid etc.

We simply disagree... Not that serious.

Danjin44 Danjin44 "Persona team and even Zero studio should help out" Don't need those games being held back, delayed, hindered etc because of 1 team. I'm sure that team can figure it out as its clear they figure out what they are going to do with it considering it did have a trailer recently.

So what ever issue they had, they figured it out.

When you have a game that has a release date announced, that is first priority. How the fuck do you not understand that?

That is basic common sense.

Persona 6 can start AFTER SMT V is finished. Persona 5 Royal just came out and the Musou sequel isn't even out yet. Persona 6 does not need to be started.

You do know in Nintendo Monolith Soft helped out developing Breath of the Wild. You may not care for SMT series but its important series for Atlus and Fans haven't got proper SMT for years, so in this case finishing SMTV should be Atlus's top priority.

The fact that they already have a release date means they are clearly on track and doing fine on their own..... Basic common sense.

Persona 6 likely started development years ago....

"Persona 5 Royal just came out" Yea...its also like those remixes and special editions you get from KH and Final Fantasy games, it doesn't actually mean the team ISN'T working on a new game as generally the ENTIRE team doesn't do those projects.

ie Persona arena, Persona Q, Persona 4 Golden on PS Vita etc all were made WHILE the team made Persona 5.... it wasn't an either or.

Danjin44 Danjin44 It already has a release window.... clearly they are on track. As to why they would suddenly need several teams to stop what they are doing to help is beyond me as clearly the game is coming out in 2021. That doesn't sound like a game that needs several teams to help em currently. Just the opposite.

Holy christ, you are a level of thickness that belongs on Resetera.

They haven't shown any gameplay after 3 years.

They just finished Royal and are still working on the Musou game, so P6 development has very likely not started.

Just because you want it does not make it true.

I was wondering what that "Sakura B.L.A.C.K" was - it's Sakura Revolution (Kakumei) iOS game.
Animation studio Cloverworks made a one episode length of Anime - it seems interesting.
The game itself is developed by the ones who made "Fate Grand Order" mobile game - I'm not really too familiar with Fate series (both in Anime and its games)...
There seems to be two groups of kageki dan, both with their own members.... but it's a no go for me, as I have no interest in mobile games in general. :( Somehow, I just can't get into them... and it all seems like they are trying to make you spend money on micro transactions - and I can't really think of any reason why this game won't be.

Of course, this Sakura Revolution takes place in year 2011 or so (Taisho 100 - lol that's some long living Emperor) - so it's got pretty much nothing to do with the previous generation. (And funny that the world doesn't seem to have evolved much either - like customs and how they dress - although everyone seem to have smartphones and there are modern, regular automobiles)

TBH, I am a little disappointed that I'd rather see current Shin Sakura Wars continue further down. I know their live play show is coming up, but I am not that much fan of the Sakura wars lol...

SMT III is one that I'm looking forward. Aleste Collection is.. nice but unless it contains more games in the series, I don't think I will really bother with it.

I hope you are right but we got 3 fucking trailers with no gameplay.

That might simply be how they want to market it right now. They probably have a deal with Nintendo to show gameplay during a Direct or something. Doesn't mean its in trouble, simply that they want to show gameplay at a different time. Similar to what we saw from Red Dead Redemption 2's trailer or even GTAV's first trailer. Some teams like to trickle out information that way. I feel if they were really have massive trouble, they would have never given a 2021 release window or even a full trailer. It would have been some teaser or something. I think the team is on track and I don't think its much to worry about as we've seen some train wrecks over the years on releases and I don't see that with this one compared to others.

Granted, it started out that way, but since they started over again, I haven't seen anything to really worry about as this just sounds like their way of marketing it slowing before a gameplay reveal or something.

Thats how we first saw Yakuza 7 too

and then

and THEN

So for all we know, they are just marketing it this way, but I don't see much to be worried over. I think the will be fine next year.

But Yakuza 7 has a demo that's out on some overseas PS Stores. I've played it via the HK store so that is just a matter of translation, not like SMT V where we've seen nothing.

smh. You really rush to argue too much..

"first saw Yakuza 7"

FIRST

You got a demo first? So all the way back 3 years ago a demo was the very first thing we got from Yakuza 7's marketing in 2017? Soooooo Yakuza 7 HAS a demo now....it did not in 2017 when the game was first announced. So yes its not like SMTV LITERALLY as Yakuza 7 is further along in development...but the point I'm making is not where Yakuza 7 is right now....its how it was marketed when it was first shown in 2017.

2017 (here is a teaser)
2019 summer here is formal trailer no gameplay, fall 2019 here is a gameplay trailer, demo release date for Japan
2020 here is a release date for the west, trailer with more gameplay etc.

Jesus christ, learn to read.

I think you need that man. The comment in clear english states "Thats how we first saw Yakuza 7". So...you did not get a demo first of this game in 2017 for you response to even make any sense. Going to have to add you to the ignore list man, you either don't read or can't or try to argue about things not being argued about.

My point is not about where Yakuza 7 is RIGHT NOW in its development, marketing etc, its simply about how it was first shown.

Read...

I mean, my god...Yakuza 7 is also OUT IN JAPAN RIGHT NOW! It would be like having a response that states that, ignoring the point is about how they were first marketed, not where they currently are right now. That has NOTHING to do with the point being made.

Good thing I said "Thats how we first saw Yakuza 7" as in....thats how we first saw Yakuza 7.

Teaser 2017
trailer 2019
demo 2019
release date etc 2019

etc. Key word here champ is FIRST.

Aleste Collection! There's something I hadn't heard about yet. Instant buy.

Facts. I'm holding out for some surprises. Sonic Mania 2, new Yakuza announcement, Judgement 2, Persona 1 remake, Persona 6 lol

If we get a few of those, I'll be happy. Aleste Collection is a day 1. (would want a remake of that in the future too)

They just finished Royal and are still working on the Musou game, so P6 development has very likely not started.
You got some facts wrong there. P5R shipped almost a full year ago on October 31st 2019. The localization efforts by Atlus USA and other foriegn studios have no effect on the Persona dev team. Likewise, the muso game was developed by Omega Force with P-Studios only contributing the story, which we know was written before P5R's story was finalized. And even if P-Studios had a much larger role in P5S than advertised, the game shipped on February 20th. The only thing that's still being worked on is localization for a release outside of Japan, which is again not associated with P-Studios.

For what it's worth I think youre right that SMTV should be getting the spotlight here. A P6 announcement would overshadow it in the press even if it was something like the chair tease for P5. That said it is entirely possible preproduction has wrapped for P6 given the time frame since P5R. They almost certainly wouldnt have gameplay, but a concept tease is possible.

Well, I know 2021 is Sonic's 30th anniversary so we will probably get new game announcements early next year.

A new 3D Sonic that brings back Adventure zones would be really cool to see.

No Shin Megami Tensei V or Project Re Fantasy? Looks like there isn't much to look forward to.
I love Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, I still believe it is the best video game in existence, but new information on the two games would be nice.

They still make the SMT mobile game? I would have guessed it stopped along time ago.

Can't say I'm super hyped outside of Disgaea 6 from what has been announced.

Yeah, the Nocturne HD remaster looked really interesting from the trailer. I know Danjin44 Danjin44 brought it up a couple times before with the boxart and screenshots too. Shin Megami Tensei was one of the lesser-known IPs I overlooked back in the day. I had never played an Atlus game until Persona 3 FES released and really enjoyed it.

Diffidently play Nocturne HD when it comes out, it my personal favourite JRPG of all time.
