SEGA reveals Hyenas by Creative Assembly

Which episode? The astronaut one?
No, the one with the witch and the soldier

Same crew that did the episode "The Witness" in season 1

If this is not the same team, they came pretty close to that aesthetic

It's the next LawBreakers-like that everyone was asking for.

When you announce a new IP and don't show gameplay, it makes me wonder. Sounds like the wigs thought the announcement date was more important than the gameplay.

This "could" be something but how is the consumer supposed to judge? The Spiderverse-esq visual trailer of nothing? C'mon Sega, we're here for you, just let us in.

I’m no zoomer so not the target audience here, but I think it looks appalling.

I expect this to have as much impact as Ubisoft’s most recent trend chasing multiplayer games.

I was kinda onboard with the game until i saw the characters, why does everyone has an ugly mug for a face?
Not that it would matter that much usually, but the game is putting so much focus on the aesthetics that it feels unavoidable to find it relevant.

Oh welp, moving on i guess.

Some real Bleeding Edge vibes from this one...

I understand old timers now, I don't relate to zoomers sensibilities at all and when devs try to appeal to them it pushes me away.
BE was before acquisition, likely a GaaS to fill money reserves just like Remedy and Platinum doing, plus it was actually made mostly by a team of juniors (something quite common in the industry to do), but Creative Assembly is owned by Sega since stone ages, so why that its beyond my mind.

This looks exactly like that crappy ass failed Ninja Theory game from a few years back that was so bad I cant even remember the name.
Hero Shooterz need to die just as quickly as BR games.

I like the artstyle, but no gameplay, and it looks like a big multiplayer game. Not interested if it doesn't have a story mode.

Sounds awesome! Hope they add more playable characters, weapons, levels and so on down the line.
Quarterly game passes and lore to explore - like a true GaaS ❤️

People complaining about Creative Assembly following trends probably wanted first person horror VR game n° 16345

Wow, the characters are so "goofy" and "lovable". Looks like hot trash.

Showing those awful designs but not showing gameplay is an excellent way to make me tune out. But yes, I realize this is aimed at teenagers. So I hope they like it. More likely they will just keep playing Fortnite instead.

I will surely wait to make my decision until I see gameplay.

But man, I'm really over the whole quirky humor + heroes/operators/specialists combo. At least it's not another BR?

Not sure what the point of this post is. They released an actual competent Aliens game at a time when every Alien-licensed game was one steaming pile after another. It's perfectly normal for people to anticipate more of that, rather than get fed this edgy load of BS that will surely be plagued with idiotic decisions from SEGA.

Game doesn't look too bad. I guess from the companys perspective, this hero-shooter-multiplayer-gaas-mtx-br thing makes sense. I immediately ask myself what the money spent on this could have accomplished otherwise. Something Shining, Crazy Taxi, Altered Beast, Border Break, Condemned, Dragon Force, Ecco, Fighting Vipers, Golden Axe, Herzog, Otogi, Phantasy Star, Sega Rally, Shinobi, Spikeout, Thunder Force ...

They released a "run away from immortal NPC" type of horror game, there was nothing special about it. Pay Day in zero gravity sounds more interesting.

What the fuck is this shit ? That looks absolutely horrendous.

Definitely not what I expected when I heard of "the next sci fi FPS by the creators of Alien Isolation" LMAO

You go from making Alien:Isolation, a truly unique and terrifying horror game that still till this day stands against games in the same genre, to just another generic cash grab battle royale game that will get lost in a sea of other games chasing the same moneybag, sad.

That and the ENTIRE FRICKING TOTAL WAR series!

Depends on what you like, I guess. Isolation was a breath of fresh air for most. These types of games are a dime-a-dozen.

All borderline useless IP in the single player space.

All significantly more useless IP in the multiplayer space.
