Track: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B3SR88A/?tag=neogaf0e-20

Sang by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi with [H.] Band

Move in a sky
Shooting a shot
Dreaming a moon
and you get a living again

------------------------------

According to this April 2009 interview with Hiroshi Kawaguchi and Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, lyrics were used during a SEGA welcome company banquet to celebrate new hires.

Thought this information was interesting to share.

Google Translate said:
Dreamed up
While capping the sky
To encroach on the heart
Tell a story to the city
Oh, tens of thousands of light years
Even though the time is separated
Oh tomorrow's dream of two people
Beyond the darkness of the universe

In case anyone was interested...

Here's my rough direct translation. My Japanese is not good at all. I think difficulty in translating line by line is that sentence construction is backwards in Japanese where direct objects are placed in between (implied) subjects and verbs.

Cultivated a dream
While looking up to the skies

Fills heart
Says farewell to town

Ahhh ahh

Many ten thousands light years' end
time separating and more

Ahh ahh

Tomorrow's two people's dreams
Overcome universe's darkness

I think I knew this? I saw a different youtube video of someone signing to the theme and was all "wat" and then I went "wat" again.

I think it was this one. Sounds familiar anyways.

Yeah, I noticed after I posted it that some of it is at the end of your video. I'm still pretty sure the one I posted is the one I saw a while ago. I think I saw it right before or right after I got a Japanese Saturn and a copy of Space Harrier. I think I was mainly looking at differences between all the home versions, mainly the 32x and Saturn versions.

Did you find any differences?

He also wrote lyrics to the main theme from Alex Kidd in Miracle World: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUMmegZAHoc

1.
スタコラ スタコラ スタコラ サッサ }

それゆけ それゆけ  }
それゆけ それゆけ  }
ミラクル ワールド   }

アレックス キッド }

2.

*2

*3

which translates to something like this:

Chorus:
(Literally,) Helter-skelter helter-skelter helter-skelter! Quick! Quick!
Helter-skelter helter-skelter helter-skelter! Quick! Quick!

C'mon, and go, c'mon and go,
Alex, full of energy!
C'mon, and go, c'mon and go,
(in-to the) Miracle World!

Verse 1:
Eat a tasty rice ball
(inside are your) hopes and dreams
in place of a dried plum
Now, start your journey!

Gotta be strong!
Never give up!
Alex Kidd!

(Chorus)

Verse 2:
Into the mysterious future,
or into a world unknown,
if you have love and courage,
you can surely go-o-o!

Gotta be strong!
Never give up!
Alex Kidd!

The only difference I could tell was that the music was slightly better on the Saturn from the videos I saw, but I'm not sure if it could be differences in setup or something. The percussion mainly sounded better on the Saturn.
