Looks pretty good also proves that the trailer was sped up. I'm seriously excited for this game after finishing Pirate's Curse. The art style, Animation, and everything is just gorgeous.

Humor is definitely still in tact as well

Seems Scuttle Town gets rekt in (almost) every Shantae installment.

Do all the enemies just fly off the screen a la smash Bros when defeated? Just noticed that and it seems odd I guess compared to past games that had death animations(like mermaids turning into fish).

Yeah, overall that's a better video of the demo. Shows off more stuff, like the Spider transformation and sub-weapons/magic. Looks like one of her other dances is a healing mechanic that costs magic power to use. Also it's much easier to hear the music.

I wonder if WayForward will make this demo available to backers?

It's fine. It's pretty much the same as in the other games.

I didn't like the hair whip attack in other games either.

But it doesn't matter as the Shantae animal form attack seem better suited for combat, so I will probably use that instead.

This looks great. I am still not a huge fan of that partially animated flash look that the characters have. But understandably, it was the best route they could go in with higher resolution graphics. But overall, I do things the sprites mesh pretty well with the 3D backdrops and the game looks very nice.
