Just make it so you can move and shoot then it’s perfect. Just update the switch version to do that.
Remove the escort mission. Add in raid mode. Sorted

Don’t change shit about the story it’s bunkers and needs to stay. I remember it just being insane and high speed chase like.

RE1 and REmake have the same story lol.
Both versions have a right to exist and be accessible to users regardless. I prefer OG to the REmake, always have. It’s the much better game for me - simpler, faster, much less redundant, AND it has the craptacular VA that established the series’s mood. REmake changed it from a cheesy B-movie to Serious Business, the game.

The NES versions of SMB and Metroid keep being rereleased even if there’s remasters and remakes available of them. I wish Capcom did the same with RE, that’s all.

I hope they change the ending specifically to incorporate this.

I can't imagine resident evil 4's story being improved without it.

The most important thing they need to do is change it to a real resident evil game,
i mean, where are the zombies, where is g virus, t virus, what the fock is going on
Just drop that 'ganados' bullshit and write a proper resident evil story, voila! Mind blowing i know....

> Remove the parts where you escort Ashley
> Don’t change the story

These aren’t compatible though, it’s one or the other.

The escort parts aren’t a large percentage anyway, and the time you do spend with her is fine. One of those times has hiding places for her to be in while you clear the areas, so that’s even less danger. The water room is the most danger she’s ever in.

RE to Code Veronica: Build up of taking down Umbrella.

RE4 opening: Umbrella got fucked up a few years ago or something IDK. This is a soft reboot to save the franchise.

Just go back to taking down Umbrella please. It was a simpler time.
The fall of umbrella was shown in Umbrella Chronicles, Jill and Chris raided their final lab and got evidence of all their evil shit, but it didn't matter much since wesker took all the work with him so he could keep doing his experiments.
He then betrayed Umbrella one last time by supplying more evidence against them and spencer, and then they were done.

Basically umbrella was wesker and spencer, with spencer being killed by wesker before RE5 and wesker during; sounds like they firmly took down umbrella.

Not the point. Both have the same story, unlike RE4 and RE4 remake will be.

So, who like the cheese plot of RE4 will still enjoy the game, if you like more horror focused pick up this future remake. Original RE4 still holds pretty well on graphics, so no much of 'oh gonna overcome the original'.

RE1 and REmake are about graphics preference because is the same game.

I honestly felt as if their recent remakes were a lost opportunity to put the essence of 1998 into 2019, and so on.

I came away from RE2 in particular feeling cheated. The "B scenario" was a lazy repeat of the A scenario. The lack of enemies too, I felt was shallow, and the story was cheesy and practically different. Like when they didn't bother to include the original plants in the lab (beyond a cameo of Plant 43 on the window in a lab). It was just a sad sight to see.

I even remember Capcom was going to cut out the alligator sequence. Then they decided that it would not be good to omit it, as people would notice it obviously, and complain. So they kept it in as a "boss fight" in the sewers. Although the little part felt so uninspired, unfortunately.

Didn’t they already mess up some the dialog in RE4: VR? They probably going to do unnecessary changes or even ruin the story to cater to certain, “people”.

RE REmake was gonna be an even more 1:1 remake during early development but as the plan changed, the team introduced changes to REmake to make it appear new

Still... the same... story...

There are additional (Lisa Trevor arc), but nothing has change dude.

RE4 remake will more like a reboot than a remake.

Its not the same game though, OG and REmake are 2 separate experiences

Dude, I'm talking about the story. Remember the thread title? The reply I did to the person in question?

RE4 not gonna die from RE4remake because if the source are right, they'll have different stories.
REmake > RE1 because is the same story, plus additional content and better experience, modern visual.

Replied to this:

Look for the context in the follow up, not just the quote inself.

Thats 'why' is important to read the follow up conversation. Is indeed the same game. Better experience? Of course, but with locked camera just like the original, same controls just like the original, same endings just like the original, limited ink riboon just like the original... unlike RE2 vs RE2remake.
I played RE1 on PS1 and PS3. Remake on GC, PS3 and PS4, so IDK what are you wanting here.

I wish only for the best with this remake, reimagining, or whatever Capcom may label it as. But I don't expect them to stay absolutely faithful to the original game. People have already expressed concern about the cheesiness being toned down, in favour of the ideas that they intended to add in during the earlier development stage. Basically what fans labelled as 3.5 later on.

The remake of RE3 was highly disappointing, for starters. I think Capcom personnel were all taken a massive dump while under the influence of something. Looks very much nothing like the original. Very little of the city to explore. Nemesis shouldn't be behaving like Peter Parker and clipping through roofs. The amount of missing areas or ones used as backdrop cameos was a joke, and no ending with Barry saving the day, besides enemies like the worm thing and the spiders not being included. It was just an awful remake overall.

So hopefully, Capcom won't screw up RE4, as that's not going to bode well. I mean, they probably won't dare to mess it up nearly as much, if they're smart. That's because RE4 is the game that genre buffs hold in higher regards. So it would be taboo to do a disservice. But then again, they probably don't care, as people are still going to buy it anyway. They've definitely caught on to people's love for nostalgia... and, so they will milk it for all it is worth.

Don't be surprised if Ada's campaign ends up being paid DLC.

But please, Capcom. Lose her electronic unlocking thing. That was a rather nippy section in RE2. And don't cover her up. There's no need to hide her sexiness behind a jacket.

I've never tried moving while shooting IRL but I suspect it sucks.

The worst part of one of the best games ever is still awesome.
Don’t get me wrong RE4 is amazing. But I would like the ability to move and shoot.
