I've got a buddy offering me his ps2. I currently do not have one as my previous ps2 died. It is a model scph39001. This model does not have a network adapter. I'm really wanting to set up a hard drive loader. Should I just get a different model, or will this be affordable to get a loader set up on? Also is there any pages that walk you through how to set up a loader?

You'd probably just be better off getting a brand new one.

We haven't discussed prices, but I'm sure it'll be fairly cheap. The initial cost of the playstation is not my biggest concerns, its how much it will cost me to get a loader on it, and if it will work ok with this model.

All the same the small ps2 is awesome.
