Skyrim Dawnguard trailer

Looks... cool?
Not exactly what i was hoping for (I would have loved to visit High Rock or Orsinium or parts of Morrowind) but i guess this will do. And crossbows, awesome! And hopefully this will have a lot of new spells, playing a Mage is really boring without a wide variety of spells or spellmaking.

I hope this brings at least 20 hours of gameplay to the game, if it´s just another 5 hours Fallout 3 type DLC... for that much money, then ill be mighty pissed.

P.S nice to see them using some of those brainstorming ideas, like the flying vampire... it was from that video no?

This will more than make up for what I thought was a watered down Dark Brotherhood storyline. It actually has an evil vibe to it and the vampire transformation looks great.

So this looks to be more of a Knights of the Nine type thing then as it says add on at the end rather than expansion and it's 'only' 1600MS points and from the looks of it we're not getting an all new continent/land to explore like you'd expect in a proper expansion. Let's hope Bethesda are working on an actual expansion as well for this holiday.

"better with kinect" - the actual words spoken, not just the logo.
You still don't have to use Kinect so no reason to cry about it.

Also I couldn't be more bummed, I only kept Skyrim for the eventual expansion pack and we get vampires? Only way the theme could be less appealing would be if it was fucking zombies. Really regret not selling Skyrim when I still could have gotten 30-40.

Was also hoping for it to be a land mass not vampire quest pack.

I'm going to guess that's up in northwestern Skyrim, near Solitude. It seems like it would make sense to be near the sea of ghosts, no?
hmmm, maybe. I'm still looking to see if it matches up with any of the terrain in Skyrim, but I'm not seeing it yet, unless it's some kind of alternate universe thing or an entirely new territory altogether.

I just think the bit at the end saying "Better with Kinect" was out of place for something like this. (I also dislike them pimping out the 360 version as the superior version but just the 360 logo at the end, and I wouldn't have complained. The "Better with Kinect" bit was just out of place at the end of a trailer like that imo)

It's really hard to get excited about that but if some problems were fixed it looks like it could be decent.

I hate seeing you being a vampire with wings and not be able to fly due to Bethesda's garbage engine and/or philosophy though. That's just cruel.
You do know about the existing jet-pack mod though right?

Well you also need to take into account that the view from the video showed the map at an angle, so some things are going to be skewed.

The coolest thing I saw was the different vampire look, like all mutated with wings...but you can't fly so it's only aesthetic.

There's a few mods on the PC side that already completely overhaul vampirism and make it make sense for once. So this DLC really isn't doing a lot for me from that trailer at least.

Zenimax should just buy Obsidian and have everyone else give them tech support while they churn out quality RPG´s.

Those guys did awesome work with the New Vegas DLC, much better than the crap Bethesda put out with Fallout 3...

Ok, see Im torn. The vampire creature thing looks awesome, same with the crazy flaming horse.

Everything else looks very predictably Skyrimish, which I find a little disappointing after such a long wait. I was hoping for something that felt more..unique.

Still, there seems to be a lot of cool things.

This is an add on, not an expansion pack. Think Knights of the Nine rather than the Shivering Isles. I'm sure they're still working on the proper expansion pack.

Epic trailer, awesome logoness..."Better with Kinect for XBAWX 360!"

But yeah, looks cool...But I still need to finish Skyrim.
