I dunno, I'd say around 6 pounds or so? It felt about half the weight of the Phat (launch) 60GB I have. I dunno the real weight of the Phats though.

They have had that since the 80gb MGS bundles. They might have updated the trailers on it.

With my own eyes, I give Sony credit. It's a nice looking system. They really should push the bejesus out of this thing from today through the Fall. I also wish they would match the KZ2, Motorostorm; PR and Resistance 2 price drops Europe got. A commercial with a slew of Greatest Hits titles in the same commercial would be slick.

Got a Playstation 3 Slim at GameStop around 12:30 today. :D It's much quieter, and that's even after playing a couple of hours of inFamous. I love the lights that light up on the power and eject button. Yeah, this is awesome.

Did you guys get a blu-ray with demos and videos with your slim? I didn't seem to get one, checked around everywhere in the box and nothing.

Yeah. I didn't have time to check it though. I have to wait about three hours until after work. Then I'll put up a gallery for my website I'll link to (I'll just post the pictures here instead of hunting for hits. :lol ).

Just hooked it up, this thing looks fucking awesome. The pictures do not do it any justice (I did not realize those buttons lit up). Of course I hated the design of the phat PS3, so my taste might be screwed up :D

Is PSN down atm?

Web based account management, trophies, code redemption, etc. all down also.

This might have been mentioned before, but it looks like the game bootup image (jingles with the "PLAYSTATION 3" spidey logo) are gone on the slim, and that only newer supported games will have a different bootup specifically for the slim.. obviously we have yet to see what that looks like since there are no supported games as of yet, though U2 should be one of the first IIRC.

He said he had updated it. It comes with 2.76 (and 2.76 has the Slim logo bootup for Slim consoles btw).

Just walked into a Best Buy in LA to pick up a charger for my iPhone and they were putting out a whole batch of PS3 Slims - early shipment! I could not resist and now I am a proud owner of both a 60gb fat and a 120gb slim :D

So I backed up my 160gb and just did the restore on my slim. None of my game installs, psn game downloads transfered over. The only stuff that transfered were game saves and my settings. No idea what happened.

That's normal. Just re-download from the store.
