so when will trees start swaying in racing games?

So do the one's in Oblivion, I remember reading a dev quote that says they move with the weather. But Oblivion isn't a racing game. :P

Contrary to what some companies want you to believe, CG still has a long way to go.
yeah don't you hate it when companies like MS tells you 360 level graphics is the best you could get.

The actual racing, physics, damage model, proper online multi and thousands of other IMPORTANT THINGS aren't done right in this genre and the guy waits for his trees.
:lol
he probably would buy a game just to look at trees swaying. don't ever underestimate the power of non-games !!!

Honestly, this is the reason why some of us still have to bear with ~30 fps racing games despite the fact that we've shelled out $400 for a new console that's supposed to be a graphical beast.

PGR @ 30 fps + NEW SWAYING TREE TECHNOLOGY = X FPS?

ps - while we're at it, I just thought about other needless bullshit that we could add that would lower the framerate, all while taking up valuable development time:

1 - Birds, complete with "True-Shit" Technology
2 - More excessive sun-glare
3 - Passengers in every car, with triple-z-buffer-vertex shading

Just a couple ideas off the top of my head.

A racing game without trees that sway in the wind and track-side rodents that scavange the carcasses of road-side victims, is not a game worth playing

WRC 360 needs to have realistic spectator-through-windscreen physics & crania that split open with bumper contact. And next time I play Burnout and crash into an SUV, I want to see the kids ejected from the back seat and broken on the sidewalk.

You guys are funny and show that swaying trees are completely USELESS, because they're already in Need for Speed Most Wanted.

All you have to do is fine a place, stop and watch... the trees sway, the shadows crawl, weird graphic bugs crop up, the whole works!

Obviously, EA spent their time well, since NOBODY noticed it! :lol

Again, they were in Colin McRae '04, 3 years ago. They looked good too!
