Cult FMV Romantic Comedy Plumbers Don't Wear Ties Coming to PS5, PS4 - Push Square

To get this straight out of the bat, I love the reaction videos to this game - AVGN's video on this 'game' is one of the best laughs I've had with his channel. It's so bad it's good to Tommy Wiseaus levels.

That being said ...

This raises some questions.

First of all, how come Sony, a company who took down Cyberpunk 2077 from their store on the excuse it didn't meet the company's standards of quality, was ok with having one of the worst 'games' in existence in their store? Am I missing something here?

And Sony, which is all about 'censorship, diversity and equality', is ok with a 'game' whose most famous moment is a creep boss asking the female protagonist to strip and have sex with him in order to get the job and giving you the option to turn it into a light BDSM session? The REEEtards are going to have a field trip with this game and the death threats are going to go sky high - I'm just sad I don't have popcorn.

In the end, the only thing that bugs me is the hypocrisy in Sony's standards. And once the SJW crazies start tweeting Sony about this, they're going to be all 'we will take down the game because it doesn't meet our standards' ... Bullshit. You don't have standards, Sony. You only REMEMBER you should have standards when the idiots start with the threats. This isn't a game that should be in a PS5 console, PERIOD. This is a YouTube classic bad comedy material which should never, EVER charge a human being money in order to be played.

Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties is no better than those 2 dollar games with trophies or the ugly and tacky themes and icons you can buy. Bottom feeder store stuff.

But if it is functional, then it has one up on CyberPunk. And it is far from some pervo anime visual novel which Sony thankfully does keep off the store. So it stays .

May even pick myself up a PS4 and Switch copy so I can triple dip with the original.

I don't know anything about this game but granting license to a game doesn't really involve how well reviewed a game is or how much fun it is to play.
I would imagine the real issue with Cyberpunk was that CDPR announced that customers could get a full refund from the PlayStation store but for some reason they somehow neglected to discuss this with with their assigned contact in Sony before announcing it to the world.
I would be extremely surprised if the way CDPR dealt with it wasn't a breach of their agreed contract and as well as having the game removed, having to cover all of Sony's costs they would likely have also faced fines for breaching their contract.

reading up on it, it’s not even a FMV point and click adventure game. They cheaped out and the game is just photo images one after another.

you can beat the game in probably less than an hour.

edit: I was correct. I googled videos and it seems everyone’s longplay videos are somewhere between 45 and 75 minutes. So about an hour.

Odd game to release, I mean I know it's infamous but some things should remain in the past.

The reason Cyberpunk 2077 was removed was because it was s major hyped up game that had a lot of attention on it that turned into a mess. Sony probably doesnt care about some niche trash getting on to the store because nobody cares and their won't be a major controversy surrounding it.

Also it's coming to all platforms so might want a title change.

To me the cyberpunk 2077 and Sony story is very simple, Sony doesn’t offer refunds, CDPR knew that and they still told everyone who wanted one that Sony was issuing refunds, obviously they didn’t wanna Issue refunds either so they placed the blame on to Sony, someone high up on the chain got angry and probably said “fu** you CDPR, this is your mess, not ours” and simply removed the game completely.. at least that’s my understanding of the situation, everything else is just a politically correct response, all that shit about a bad experience for gamers is just that, abigpileofshit.gif

If you buy this game and expect to play it like a normal video game, you're doing it wrong. You buy it so you and a bunch of friends can have a laugh while drunk or because you are curious if it's really as bad as everyone says.

Same reason why Night Trap also is on PSN and Daikatana is on steam.

There's a big difference between the two games. Cyberpunk 2077 did not function properly on PS4 systems. It was crashing non-stop and it clearly had a lot of issues that were skipped during QA. Plumbers Don't Wear Ties is just an old, cringy, American VN game that has some softcore porn. (SPOILER) The uncensored scene that people are worried about is a shower scene (slideshow images) with a minor nip slip. You can't even see areoles. Although CP2077 doesn't display real people, it definitely has more nudity and actual sex scenes, compared to PDWT.

I bought it on Switch just to laugh because Howard Lincoln told congress it’ll NEVER be on a Nintendo system.

Also have the PS4 one and kind of want to sit down and plat it someday.
