Sony E3 Conference confirmed for usual time (Monday 6pm PT)

If SE didn't bother to port 1.5/2.5 and 2.8 unto XB1 then KH3 is being sent to die on that system. At least with FFXV it was a clean slate, I couldn't even begin to imagine someone on XB1 playing KH3 without any background knowledge about the past games. Unless they make one damn good recap video or a movie in this case.

Can we have a thread just for KH3 e3 predictions lol? We know it's going to be there since last year they had announced by this time that KH3 wouldn't be there. They know the situation they're in and would have to announce beforehand it was missing again.

Edit: this is square though, only they could do that lol.

They'll have the journal to read thru I'm sure but that'll probably be a bare bone synopsis at best.

You know, I had completely forgotten about the Horizon story DLC that's in the works. Do we think that could be an E3 announcement or something for PSX? I'm leaning toward the latter.
 
I will take a temp ban if KH3 doesn't get a substantial trailer at E3 I'm that confident (cos of the reasons I've posted before)... Hard to believe we are potentially only a week away from a trailer if it shows up at the concert like I believe.

You'd need at least an hour summary movie just to explain the story adequately at best and I don't even know if that could do it. And the story is so complex and out there that consuming it all in an hour isn't going to make anyone want to play or be interested in. It's really something you need to absorb over a good amount of time to care about the story.
 
FFXIII and FFXV were million sellers on Xbox, they arent going to skip Xbox with the mainline games. I dont think Xbox will get stuff like World of Final Fantasy or Dissidia though.
 
What are the chances of Sly Cooper revealing himself? Doesnt matter if its a collection, a Ratchet and Clank Ps4 kind of thing or a new game. It's literally the only thing a friend of mine is asking for lol
 
Playing Kingdom Hearts collection for first time(I just beat
Cerberus
) is making me so excited for Kingdom Hearts 3. I just need 2.8 to complete current collection.

Low for now. Ask again in few years.

PS2 ports might happen sooner than that but Jak is still to be released.

It's possible if you just played all the previous games on their original systems. I'm sure there are plenty of KH fans that have done that. How many that are on Xbox, who knows though.

The only way Sly is happening any time soon is an HD Collection for PS4, and I doubt that will even happen.

Well this place isn't very confident in Square Enix in general (for some things rightfully so, but in this case for stuff like the KH3 winter news not happening the reasoning I've explained on here before explains that very well), and there's too much reasons I believe it will show up so I want to repeat myself. There's pretty much no way it doesn't show up in my mind. Regardless we will find out soon...

I already won one regarding FFXV because I knew they would fuck something up.

And it's not like I'm being super strict here. Having original music and showing NPCs is something 90% of the games show on their announcement trailers, let alone 4 years after.

Wait actually, let's take out the original music part then it's a deal. If this gets shown at the concert (or even Sony orchestra if they have one again) I can see them playing a song from the series under it live. Avatar till the end of August is fine with me.

Ok fine, but they need to show 2 Disney characters not seen before in UE4 (for example Hercules+Rapunzel would count).

It would still be a bet I would be happy to lose just to see them make some progress.

Nah man I'm very confident the trailer will have all these things (for reasons I've posted before in here yesterday that I cbf to post again). And I just asked to remove the one part of it that seems most unlikely.

I mean, the characters play a huge part in these games and are abundantly shown in traditional KH trailers.

I will say the original music thing being removed gives him a big advantage (because those motherfuckers love to recycle old music) but whatever, I'll be happy to lose a bet if Nomura can deliver for once in his life. I have been giving him shit for the past like 10 years or so.

Yeah I definitely think we will see that. I'm tempted to bet specific Disney characters lol but that's really hurting my chances so I'll just say a minimum of 2 world specific Disney chars.

At most maybe an announcement that the remasters are getting ported to PS4. I don't think it's unreasonable though to think Sucker Punch's new game might get announced.
 
I have hurt my chances considerably but I have reasonable faith that any of these could happen:

-trailer is shorter than 3.5 minutes (most likely, depends a lot on what kind of pacing it has)
-only one new world announced with BH6 being treated as new (also fairly likely)
-no commitment to a year just yet just for giggles
-''lot of cutscenes'' shown is up to interpretation but I won't be a weasel about it. They could still do some lame gameplay dump in the middle with very little actual cutscenes shown akin to 2015 because they are afraid to show Disney models yet or something.

I've already confirmed my rant and nomura thread if the trailer is anything like 2015's

I look forward to it being defended and being told I Mm not a real fan as I stare at my big kh collection in the corner 🤷🏽*♂️
 
I agree that a KH3 trailer will be shown. Its time for them to show something new and at least announce a release window. A nice gameplay trailer showing off a new world or two with "2018" at the end, and I'll shit myself.

I agree 3.5 minutes plus is most likely to be my downfall but I think this will be sort of KH3's re-reveal in its closer to final form and there is a lot of ground for the trailer to cover.

Since it's been so long since the last world announcement I think there will be two. One of the two could also be a KH original world rather than a Disney world if they only want to reveal one new Disney world this time. But they revealed 2 Disney worlds at E3 2015 so I think they will reveal 2 here after it's been so long.
