I didn't dig into it when I replied, but yeah, whether they did it via CNAME or a simple redirect, nothing makes this look in the slightest way legitimate.

That's just a misunderstanding. It's not hosted anywhere. The tool you're using just looks up the IP address which has a CNAME pointing to playstation.com's IP address (which belongs to a CDN) and thus appears to be associated when it's really not. This has scam 101 written all over it.
