If this is good enough, it will force me to buy an NGP at launch.

Noisepurge said:oh come on man, i for one would buy an NGP if a Wipeout would be a launch title ;D
Both PSP Wipeouts are amazing!
H_Prestige said:Sony says they're against that type of stuff, even though it is the proper thing to do with a device as capable as the NGP. The handheld title has to be its own game.
SolidSnakex said:The fact that it appears to be set in 2048 could suggest that it's a completely new title instead of series of upgraded old tracks. 2048 would place it as the earliest game in the series (the original WO took place in 2052).

When people say that it's dumb to buy a console for one game, generally I sort of agree. Wipeout is the ONE game that reels me in. The PS2 would have been a disappointment to me if it hadn't turned out to be history's greatest console as it's one Wipeout game sucked and was late. Wipeout XL started me buying consoles. Wipeout Pure sold me a PSP, and another Wipeout will probably sell me an NGP. For many others it's about Mario Kart but I am a Wipeout guy all the way through.
My feeling is that there is a game (probably 2097) for NGP, and a just-registered domain for some potential console sequel or triple-pack as GoFreak suggested. They won't release 2 Wipeout games simultaneously.

ULTROS! said:WipEout Trinity sounds like an "HD Collection" game.
V_Ben said:Of what? Fusion... and the PS2 versions of the PSP games? That kinda smacks of pointlessness
Bad_Boy said:why would you not want wipeout on ngp?
If you weren't planning on getting an NGP but you had a PS3.Bad_Boy said:why would you not want wipeout on ngp?
H_Prestige said:Very few people will buy two different versions of a game anyway. In the case of PS3 software vs. NGP software, guess which will be ignored?
If NGP and PS3 share each other's games and access the same "app" store, both hardwares will become more valuable to customers. Someone who wants portable will get NGP, others who want the home theater experience will get PS3. Sony doesn't lose either way, just like Apple doesn't by selling ipods, ipads, iphones that all run mostly the same software.
got it, i would just like to see wipeout loving spread across all sony platforms. ngp needs launch title love too.BenjaminBirdie said:I'd rather have it on PS3. I said "kinda" bummed. Not "let's all set fire to a Del Taco" bummed.
Jeepers creepers!
BenjaminBirdie said:Kinda bummed that it's NGP. Just finally bought a PS3 for Wipeout HD. Would've been nice to have a new one on the way.

It's a shame that mp is hardly populated anymore.

Just imagine- 3 best Wipeout games using HD's graphics engine. Ohhhh...daviyoung said:Wipeout, Wipeout 2097 and Wip3out. I'd pay for remade versions of those games.
