You bought a Wii but you also want to play RE5, MGS4, Gears of War 2, what have you.
So you're going to buy a 360 or a PS3. As long as the Wii isn't getting games like that they aren't in direct competition because they appeal to different demographics and even when they appeal to the same demographics a lot of those people will still find reason enough to purchase an HD console in addition to their Wii.
