Spartacus: Vengeance |OT| - The gods are ready to spread the cheeks

The new german characters are pretty cool. I like that they act so differently from the Gauls and the rest. Their wild craziness really sets them apart.
It's kind of funny in regards to modern day France and Germany. I'm sure the French still have the same perception of Germans.

So they quickly brought in another hot blonde chick. I didn't get a chance to really look at her face, though her body was smoking'. Her fight with Mira was pretty sweet too.

They did a really good job of turning Glabor from an incompetent fool who lucked into power through marriage into, well, Batiatus. They backed him into a corner and forced his hand, and now that he's gotten a taste for it he has taken over the scheming for power role that Batiatus held, something that this show really needed.

The whore that was with Gannicus was hot, too bad she's dead.

The swords in this show are like lightsabers. All that was missing from Spartacus' fight was a booming disembodied voice shouting "Fatality!".

I don't get it why Ilythia was whining about Glaber wanting to do that sister
it was her who wanted to leave him 2 weeks ago without any problems...

That was when she still had a chance for better prospects. Now her father's dead (and with it, his influence) and she's just a wife of a praetor.

Before the incident Ilythia was in charge, she was the one that could cheat on Glaber. By inviting Seppia (and wanting to do her) Glaber demonstrates Ilythia that he doesn't need her anymore; that he can easily get a younger one that would be much more faithful to him.

Not to mention, she hates Seppia and now she was forced to share house with her.

A womans status was pretty much linked to her fathers or husbands, so if she loses Glaber she is pretty much fucked now her father is dead.

I thought all of her Father's wealth passed to her future child? That scene where the guy is explaining her father's assets, then tells Glaber he can't sell the animals or whatever? Influence-wise, she'd be out of the game if he dumps her, but he'd lose control of their new wealth?

Baby Spartacus gonna be a rich brat.

I almost want to feel bad for Ilythia and Lucretia. Then I remember how cool Varro was. For the better part of two seasons they've been the most vindictive characters around. Testament to the show that you can still pity them, I think.

He certainly doesn't want to dump her (he still wants the heir), but right now he has a power to treat her like shit for what she wanted to do to him.

Because she had her father's blessing for better prospects, now with him dead she's stuck and Glaber is punishing her as nothing more than a baby transport

Another pretty great episode.

So did Gannicus just go to all the dead soldiers afterward and pull out their organs for fun? I don't think we'd that much intestine laying around just from getting stabbed. I'm glad Illythia didn't bite it, her and Lucretia are way too interesting together to end it now.

I liked Sedullus is the beginning, but as soon as he attacked Naevia, there was no coming back. Super ridiculous killing blow though, but I should know by now that we have to have one of those every few episodes.

I'm glad that the shorter guy, Lugo, is still around. He seems cool, and he's freaking thick as hell. Pure muscle. (He's pretty hot too.)

More Agron & Nasir please.

maybe Gannicus did some slicing while stabbing? I could see guts spilling out...in the world of Spartacus at least. That's quite a nitpick there.

Oh, I was being factious. I don't hold this show to any sort realistic representation of violence. I just thought it was kind of funny to see 9/10ths of these guys' small intestines littering the road from a surprise slash and grab.

Sorry for the confusion.

No worries, the internet is a confusing place.

Although one has to wonder how much contact Gauls and Germans had before Rome conquered Gaul, and how their relationship was considering
Crixus lead the German troops in the war alongside his Gauls.
. Aside from that, both the Celtic tribe from which Crixus hauls and the Germanic tribes Agron descends from aren't in France or Germany. They're from Switzerland. More northern parts of both countries weren't conquered until much later. For instance, the Belgae (the most northern Gauls) weren't conquered until Caesar came into play and it wasn't until after that he'd attack 'Germany'. (And it was Caesar who really coined the term Germania)
