I like how if you asked for a list of the best tag team matches from the wwes "golden era" of tag team wrestling with the hardys, e&c, etc none of the matches would actually have tagging

STAY AWAKE!

LMAO

Russo's involvement being the straw that broke the camel's back for Spike TV would be hilarious if true. But I stopped having even the thought of TNA entering my brain months ago because it was pretty obvious it was dying. My expectations are low but lets see what Double J can do the second time around with a #2 promotion.

This is why TNA failed, for me.

At its best, WCW was a brilliant promotion. At its worst, they had Scott Steiner walk out with a tiger for NO REASON WHATSOEVER. And said tiger tried to bite Rey Mysterio backstage.

TNA never hit that high or that low.

So how much does WWE buy TNA's video library for?

$100?

I'm in for tree fiddy.

Though given WWE's financial results this week
shite
they might have to go to IndieGoGo for this one. $1500 should do it, and they can make it back on sales of the complete Kurt Angle BR collection.

Scott Steiner wikipedia page said:
Scott Steiner was murdered on Total NonStop Action Wrestlings "Destination X" PPV by Samoa Joe...Who was wearing his new tights... In Which Joe Looked Like Umaga who then ate HBK..

Holy shit LMAO

Kevin Nash announced a "Big Sexy Tour Valet Search" to find a female valet, set to begin a few months after Victory Road -- which spoiled the stipulation of Nash's match against AJ Styles (if AJ wins, Nash retires). Nash easily defeated Styles with a chokeslam, won the Legends Championship, and went on to do his valet tour, which eventually resulted in Jenna Morasca being brought in.

OH NOOOOOOOO

This is obviously a setback for the wrestlers and staff who work on the aired show, and out of respect for them I'm not gonna laugh - but this is a pretty dull shock. Honestly, I'm more surprised that Power Uti's somehow spun this into 5 fleeting minutes of Twitter fame than how TNA might be going out. After all the stuff TNA's gotten away with over the years, I always thought it would be something colossally stupid that would bet the tipping point for Spike TV, rather than something that was just dumb and disrespectful. It might not even be that; story's still pretty new, there might be more to it. Either way, Spike's better people than me - if I heard that they were even considering bringing Russo back, I'd tell them that I'd cancel the show then and there. I wonder what they'd replace it with, though.

The newer guys can definitely find somewhere else to go, whether TNA hooks up with another channel or not. And in spite of the long drag that TNA's had for the past 5 years, the wrestlers that came into the company before that might be able to do the same - TNA gave them TV exposure, and for some of them it was their first steady bit of exposure on TV, so that counts for something. It's the ones who came into the company near the start and stayed with them that will be hurt by this the most, since they're practically tied to the hip with them. And TNA's management has a history of hurting those people anyway, so this is just par for the course.

I'd love to see an actual promotion cause some disruption in the WWE.

I thought when TNA first started, it might get there once they really started pushing the X-Division. As soon as they signed Hogan and Bischoff though, I knew it was over as far as competing.

Wait..., is it true that TNA was Spike's highest rated show?! Whaaaaaaaa?

I think it's also worth remembering that when TNT/TBS cancelled their WCW shows the networks primarily did so to make the channels a bit more 'prestigious' as pro wrestling was seen as a little cheap.

Given how Spike is getting into the 'event mini series' business it's entirely possible that they want to do the same and need to get rid of TNA to do it.

I never like seeing people lose their jobs, but I don't know how that garbage stayed on the air past its first year anyways. They had PLENTY of years to step their shit up. I really could not believe that people willingly watched TNA.

Say what you want about WWE, if you didn't like the direction they carried certain wrestlers in, they at least had high quality standards.

And shit, I'm still almost a year behind the WWE with no spoilers and I still have to catch up.

TNA this fall on the CW network!

If The CW had a place to actually put wrestling on their schedule in the 1st place that would be mutually beneficial.

Impact Wrestling to debut on TruTV right after Lizard Lick Towing.

This could work. Gets Billionaire Ted back in the wrasslin business and they stay on TV & on a channel that understands them.

Syndication would be an option which TNA is no stranger to but I don't know how that would even work out in their favor. Coupling it with putting episodes online maybe but even then.

I never really watched TNA during it's years on the air. I only heard about it. What has been/is Russo's role recently? The last I really paid attention was when he cried to Dixxie to get Cornette removed because he was just getting in Russo's way.

Gail was ultimately side-lined because they didn't think she was "hot" enough. She didn't have the blond hair, baywatch attire like Trish, nor did she has the sassy appeal of Lita. They couldn't be bothered with her... Gail Kim talked about it in her interviews, she was incredibly candid about it and it all added up. Sorry, race, back then, was a major factor. No one said it openly but we all know that it was.

When I think of Trish, I definitely think of her wrestling in bikinis all the time. Not the pants that she wore pretty much her entire in ring career except for a few big matches.

... and that would be the biggest insult EVER! I kid you not. Massive massive insult and I'm not talkking about the fact that the image you shown was Japanese and Gail is Korean. Heck, if I remember correctly, there was a time when the WWE invited Japanese female wrestlers to duke it out against their DIVAS and the Japanese girls were incredible! Leagues above the DIVAS... but unfortunately, the WWE never did it again because the crowd were racist and non-supportive towards the Japanese girls, and the WWE didn't do anything to support the Japanese girls either. Disgusting.

You're so wrong about so many things.

I forgot when I got into TNA and when I stopped watching but I enjoyed it at the time. Angle, Styles, Taz, Kazarian, Joe, Hardy, Beer Money, Jay Lethal, Motor City Machine Guns, Austin Aries, and the KO division...they had the talent when I was into it, but the plotlines were mostly dumb or forgettable, and it went downhill after.

Loving all the gifs in here btw.

TNA's imminent death is a tangent to this because I don't think it would have had a bearing on any decision, but Kurt Angle returning to WWE in any capacity would be huge. Can you imagine that music hitting and the resulting pop?

Dream scenario. Rusev and Lana continue to trash talk America, fit and healthy Angle marches out and slaps on the ankle lock.

Oh it's true. It's damn true.

Less believable gimmick than the Undertaker.

From their paygrades that forced their mid-tier to get second jobs or foodstamps, to their seemingly suicidal mission of recreating the worst aspects of WCW with big cheques for over-the-hill "legends" and consistently awful in-ring product: TNA has always been godamn fucking awful, but this is an incredible read.

But...

Paul Heyman was in talks with TNA to join the company. However, he wanted full control of the company aspects, and wanted to get rid of all the veterans aside from one guy to stand out (if you're over 40 I'll rip your fucking head off) while building a younger, talented roster. Spike TV were fine with it, TNA was fine with it, but Dixie Carter was not due to her loyalty to these veterans as well as people who would be fired such as Vince Russo. The deal fell apart and TNA continued to go backwards instead of forwards.

...this would have been the greatest thing to happen in pro wrestling since the death of WCW.
