FM isn't even a strategy game? :-/

I knew that they were changing the genre, but I thought they were changing it to an RTS, which still would have been ok. But a shooter? :-/

Whats with this gen and the focus on action?

What? Square publishing SupCom 2?
I think it was announced months ago. About the same time the game was announced officially.

Did we know before that the FF13 summons are called Eidolons again? I mean, the JPN version always has them as Shoukanjuu anyway IIRC.

So no new versus trailer or anything?
Bring on TGS! lol

-Versus members are more or less the same as FF7 members and everyone is working very synergistically
-Synergistic team isn't making compromises, so the quality is naturally going up
-I try to audit the progress, but because everyone is auditing themselves very severely, most problems are cleared at lower levels
-Currently testing battle system and map gimmicks (?)
-Town lighting test for day and night were inspected and it felt as though the town really existed in front of me
-I really want to show, right away, character's actions when they're left alone for a while
-Please wait a little bit longer for new Versus information. Once we get to a certain point, I will show you something very surprising

TGS or one of Square's own shows will likely be where Versus shows up next.

I think FM as a 3rd person shooter will stand a better chance of selling well.

Imagine Armored Core: For Answer, but actually GOOD. With a PLAYABLE FRAMERATE. My fucking god AC:4A was an abomination.

I loved FM and loved FM5, but action is definitely where the mass market is at.

Maybe they'll announce Versus XIII.
"So how come you had no surprises?"
"We did. Versus XIII"
"You announced that 2 years ago"
"Really? I don't think so. It was new for 09"

:( Squarecom.

is the psp KH that far off that its not being shown at E3?

It'll be released in Japan at the end of this year. Which makes it an early-2010 release at the soonest. With KH DS out in a few months, it makes more sense for them to hype and market that first, without another distraction at the show.

Especially since, let's be honest, regardless of the quality of the two products (and even regardless of their importance in canon), showing KH DS next to KH PSP is going to result in KH PSP overshadowing KH DS.
