Tetsuya Nomura has shared a few details with Dengeki on the upcoming "Square Enix 1st Production Department Premier" event (formerly the "Fabula Nova Crystallis Conference").

The event was originally scheduled for January 11, but was pushed back to January 18. The reason for this was due to timing related to magazine publishing.

While the event was originally announced as being mostly a press event, it has instead shifted to being a "premium event" for fans. The focus will be not on demos but on video footage.

Developers of the various games will appear at the event.

Versus will, as expected, be shown at the event. We'll get to hear main character Noctis speak for the first time. In addition, we'll get to see plenty of actual footage from the game, although this is apparently before the game's visuals have been given a quality bosot.

Kingdom Hearts 3DS and Kingdom hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix will also be shown.

An Anachronox sequel by team 1 could actually be pretty interesting.

Square taking over Eidos has made me slightly more hopeful for a sequel. I think the franchise could be a logical match for the company and the original creators including Tom Hall have said they'd gladly return to complete it. That said, it's still extremely unlikely, mostly because so few people played the first one. Wouldn't have played it myself if I hadn't bought it on a whim when I saw it in a bargain bin.

A shame really, to me the universe was on-par with Mass Effect's, another game franchise I absolutely love.

Did you not play FFXIII? You know? That one game with some of the most annoying voice acting of all time?

For me, the images and stuff always looks cool. But when I hear the characters actually speak, sometimes that's when it all starts to go downhill.

At any rate, it was just a harmless jab. Here's hoping that we don't have to suffer through anymore Vanille's or Hope's anytime soon.
