Same brother. There's just so much going on right now. I mean, you got ARC Raiders just consuming way too many hours in my life at the moment. But I definitely hope for a time not far off when I have nothing going on and can consume this game.I am hearing the game is very, very improved. I dont have time to go back but I want to play it again soon
I'm in the same boat. Played the shit out of the first one with the Anomaly mod, but I never got to play this. It launching with quite a few issue's didn't help, either. Especially when I look at the price of this game.I am hearing the game is very, very improved. I dont have time to go back but I want to play it again soon

In that area of the game, you'd sometimes see frame rates drop to 40fps and never reach 60fps. Now it consistently maintains a 60fps with the occasional dip to 50fps.They've come a long way. I remember the Perf. mode was pretty bad at launch, but it's at 60 most of the time with notable drops being to mid 50's, which is comfortably within the VRR window.

Does the flashlight cast shadows now or is the game still stuck in the pre 2001 era of gaming tech?
Not a coincidence. Good enough to ship is how you lunch things on GamePass by design. People might take fixes and improvements as content updates. In that area of the game, you'd sometimes see frame rates drop to 40fps and never reach 60fps. Now it consistently maintains a 60fps with the occasional dip to 50fps.
The improvement is definitely noticeable and clear... just as it's leaving Game Pass![]()

oh so they will upgrade to UE5.5? this makes me want to pospone playing..most ue5 games run fine on good hardware. you have the best CPU and the second best GPU. I was running most of these games at 60 fps high to ultra settings on my 3080 because my CPU wasnt some trash Zen 2 CPU everyone on the internet bought back when they thought AMD was killing it.
There are some games that will cause stutters regardless of your CPU but thats mostly due to bugs that are fixed a week or a month after launch. Stalker 2 received several patches where they fixed almost 2,000 bugs. it was an incomplete game that ran like shit because it was simply broken.
you are now playing the fixed version. They are also releasing a new patch later this year that will rebuild the entire game on UE5.5 which has 50-80% better CPU performance. So you might actually be able to play it at 120 fps.
Yep. Should be out soon. Announced back in August for a Q4 release.oh so they will upgrade to UE5.5? this makes me want to pospone playing..
Going to give the game a shot then. Really want Stalker 2 to be good and get top mod support again. They've been progressively working on performance improvements through the year, not just this patch.
The main update, the UE5.5 one, isn't even out yet. That will be the major CPU reduction one that happens sometime near the end of the year or start of next.
I saw a video around a week ago, stating that the flashlight derived shadows are "fake".Does the flashlight cast shadows now or is the game still stuck in the pre 2001 era of gaming tech?
