I want to believe these guys, but I can't until I see direct-link, in-game, unedited, unscripted, non-CGI, non-super sampled, LIVE GAMEPLAY and the hardware specs of the PC running that game sequence.

Why is it so "off-limits" to show that to people?

Rockstar is the only company that actually delivered what they showed off a few months ago for the PC version of GTA5.

...and DICE has not had a good history with this stuff.

Still, I'm a hopeless Star Wars geek and this will still be DAY 1 for me because I have no willpower.

But it sure would be nice to put all fears to rest!

you know, with Disney overseeing all star wars stuff now. I honestly cannot see them allowing EA to release anything below their high standards. While it may not look as astronomically amazing as we are being lead. I have very high hopes for it. If the game releases broken/unplayable, EA will not be spending much time with the star wars property. All star wars released content under Disney has been very good so far, from books, comics, and tv shows

do people think thats gameplay? that would be like a whole gen ahead of everything else with all the subtleties in the animation, heads looking slightly towards explosions and like you mention incredibly natural walking and running, nah thats not gameplay.

Maybe not being forced to use a version of an engine built with being limited to less than 512mb of RAM in mind can actually do something amazing? We will see!

I honestly think people have been conditioned to last generation restrictions for so long they have no idea what modern engines can do with significantly faster graphics processors and more than 512mb of RAM.

Honestly, in my case, it's that I've been conditioned to know that publishers will hype graphics to hell and back and then downgrade. Regardless of engine.

I mean, could a current-day PC with enough horse power run a game that looks that like? Sure. Will a multiplayer-focused game look like that? I have my doubts.

Oh, sorry--my mistake. Yeah, it'll probably be as representative of the gameplay as BF's cinematic trailers were, i.e., not very.

No doubt there are some cinematic BF moments that actually DO happen to players, but any of the staged coordinated action almost never happens on pub servers, haha.

If they made it true to the gameplay, there will probably be one ATAT spamming fire at the Hoth shield generator that was left unprotected by all rebel players trying to flip their own snow speeders with thermal detonators.
