Geez, I'd have to sit down and think about that one...

At the VERY least, you are missing a number of older PC games such as TIE Fighter, X-Wing, Dark Forces, Rebel Assault (1 and 2), and more. Of course, you did list them for the Mac...but I figured you were aiming for a more complete list.

Also off the top of my head, the PS2 had the two Starfighter games, Bountry Hunter (as did GC), and Bombad Racing. XBOX had the SF titles as well while the PC had just the first one.

There are just so many...

Yeah, don't forget Star Wars: Super Bombad Racing for PS2. Actually, go ahead and forget it. I think we'll all be better off that way.

Bounty Hunter

XBox:

PC:
X-Wing

Rogue Squadron

Dark Forces
Rebel Assult 1&2

There's also The Empire Strikes Back (1985), an official conversion kit for the original vector graphics Star Wars arcade game (1983). It was great.

mEmpire_Strikes_Back,_The.jpg

Then there's the sprite-based Return of the Jedi (1984) which is, er, rather less great.

And, on the pinball front, there was Star Wars Episode I, which was one of only two Pinball 2000 machines made before Willians quit the biz. Pity, 'cause the Pin2K stuff was terrific, with video projected onto targets. Alas. There was also a decent Star Wars pin released in 1992 by Data East.

Hang out with Steve.
Well, the list looks longer than it is because of the multi-platform games being listed once for each platform. If it's the same game, it should only be listed once, otherwise you're guilty of manipulating statistics to enhance your point ;)

Don't be. I didn't mean any offense. I was just commenting about the phrase being so misspelled on the Internet. No worries, it's all good. :) Lord knows I misspell all the time! ;)

shpankey said:
Yup, that's pretty much the most misspelled phrase ^^ on the net.

Allot = proper

Yeah, but that word has a different meaning entirely. If you were talking about assigning things, or distributing them, then it would apply. :)

What did I miss? 125 releases. So many "Star Wars" version that I rather put all of them, even thought the same games is often on multiple platforms...

The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi were also Arcade games. ESB was vector like SW, and ROTJ was a strange isometric game.

X-Wing Collectors CD

Perhaps some hardcore Star Wars fan could answer a question for me: Was the success of the SNES Super Star Wars game in 1992 directly responsible for the rebirth of the Star Wars franchise? For those who don't remember, Super Star Wars was a huge critical and commercial success, and went on to sell millions of copies. It probably still is the best selling Star Wars game, unless KOTOR has overtaken it. It seemed like Star Wars was dead until that game was released, and then more games came out, then comic books, action figures, more merchandise, the re-release in theaters, the new movies, and so on and so forth. Millions of kids who were too young to see Star Wars in the movie theaters were exposed to it for the first time through the SNES game, so I always wondered if it was the catalyst for the return of Star Wars to pop culture in the early to mid 90s.

You still have forgotten about ZX-Spectrum omfg.

There is at least 3 Star Wars games for it. One of em is a really crappy "droids themed" game, I think it was named something like "Droid factory", it didnt have anything to do with Starwars at all and was a shitty game! LoL

There were a bunch of products (EU books, comics, games, action figures, and rerelease of movies in late 90's) entered into the market at the same time and one big movement started by LucasArts - the Expanded Universe - that boosted it to what it is now.

I don't think I should count rereleases. I had allot of Star Wars Collector's Edition for the majority of platforms up there and it shouldn't be added to the list; which is already huge anyway...
