State of Play returns next Wednesday

Gold Member

Hello again! Just a quick note to tell you that State of Play returns next Wednesday, October 27 at 2:00pm PT / 10:00pm BST. As usual, you can watch our broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube. Hooray!

This time out, we’ll be focusing on announcements and updates for upcoming third-party releases headed to PS5 and PS4.

The show is looking to be ~20 minutes or so, and will share new looks at previously announced games, plus a few reveals from our partners around the world.

Third parties - boo! Although it would be cool if we get more info on KOTOR and games on a similar scale. Elden Ring maybe?
Fuck Yes!! Roll on GAF making this event something way bigger than it is and then complaining how they didn't show enough big games.

I won't be watching.

I'm expecting

Spiderman 2 gameplay
Wolverine gameplay
GTA 6 reveal
Silent hill reveal
MGS remake reveal
Uncharted 5
Full BC for PS1,2 and 3
$100 PS5 price drop.
Jim Ryan steps down and Ken kutaragi returns

Soo hyped!

Either FFXVI or Deathloop DLC :messenger_tears_of_joy:
Seriously it's interesting that they're not giving away any name, they usually do.
There might be a few surprises.

Skipping this and will watch some trailers after the show with a much better image quality (if there is anything interesting, I mean).

Come on Sony, show us the big guns! Give us Bloodborne remastered, show some Final Fantasy XVI, buy out MOBA and force ReEra to put a big Jimbo face on the homepage!

Good they're keeping expectations in check.

They'll probably reveal Kojima's Silent Hill project, plus From Software's PS5 exclusive.

Beyond that nothing major, just updates on Final Fantasy XVI and Forspoken, gameplay of Ghostwire, and probably a RE4 Remake trailer.

I'll probably tune in anyway, just in case.

Besides little devil and stray, not much else I’m looking forward to on the 3rd party ps front. Maybe they show some hogwarts, that would peak my interest. It seems any meaningful ps5 only games will be shown second quarter next year.

Good on 'em, typically this would be for a "holiday push" to try and encourage system sales, but the systems are selling like hotcakes already.

Interesting to see what this announcement brings.
