Yeah, my intention was to buy a 970 and then a second one after I'd sold my 670s... but the true nature of the card means that would be unwise. One 980 would last me just fine until Nvidia inevitably drops the price in response to AMD's R390, I think.
Well fuck it I'm now at 4 games bought for the year already after crumbling and preordering Revelations 2. If I stick to my plan of 5 games for the year I'm already fucked as I've got Majora's Mask 3D and Arkham Knight preordered too. I'm either going to capitulate or bend my rules slightly it seems.
Gaming-wise completely agree. Just about nothing worth mentioning this month, except Darkest Dungeon Early Access but that doesn't count as a release because, well, obviously it doesn't release this month. Evolve is the big one for me but I doubt it will last more than 10 hours. Not hyped.
Although for sim racers it's going to be a good (Steam) month. Reiza is finally putting their latest games on Steam with Formula Truck 2013 coming today and Game Stock Car soon after. I had no interest in Truck racing but give it a try if you happen to own it/bought the bundle, because it's actually very different type of racing and I certainly enjoyed it. Also if you have already bought it, go here to get a Steam key: http://www.gameformulatruck.com/en/steam.php. Similar system coming soon for Game Stock Car.
i dunno about outrage but 65 gigs for a game is stupid.
it's easy, just make an optional "free dlc download", everyone's happy
i'm not gonna play the game on mega ultra whatever, i don't wanna have to dedicate a tenth of my hard drive to a single game to get textures that i won't use and uncompressed audio i'm not gonna be able to tell the difference
if there are no QTEs and some gameplay, preferably fun
edited: forgot to mention that Loot Hunter got major update,
Loot Hunter update 110 released!
Hi! We have prepared a major update of the game after the feedback we have received from players in the last few days. Here is the list of changes and new features in the new build 110st:
Adjusted collisions with land. The ship should sail more easily.
The camera view was adjusted, so the ships are closer and bigger.
The shops offer five items for sale.
A golden number on an item in a shop indicates an item with a favorable price.
Rare items have higher prices.
Price of a peace with a faction depends on how many ships of that faction you have sunk.
Shop is accessible in locations with a quest.
Autosave after each battle and finished quest.
Ships you buy have different number of slots for upgrades.
Items show, whether they are common, rare or unique.
You can end a battle immediately by a surrender button in the game menu.
You can see multiple enemy ships while in a battle with a squadron.
High level ships are more expensive.
A lot of bugs fixed
Life is Strange feels more like a playable TV series. If the content was based on Freaks and Geeks (based in the 90's) then it would totally be my GOAT but the teen setting reminds me more of the students from my last teaching placement. It's got promise though and a lot of the pop culture references are to things that were pop culture when I was a teen so I don't feel like an old man shaking my hand at the air.
