So Metal Gear Solid continues to be the top selling game on Steam (by gross), however, its Steamspy sales have flatlined in the past 3 days. I wonder if some of that is day 1 people refunding the game before the 2 week deadline is up.

I doubt refunders are that specific with their timing of it.

Well, we ended up having 4 days of flat sales for Metal Gear Solid 5 (despite a #1-2 place on the Steam top sellers chart), and now the game is back to climbing in sales daily (though the pace has slowed some). I'm not sure what other explanation covers that other than refunds kicking in before eligibility ran out. Sure there would have been some refunds all along (continuing now), but it was weird for sales to remain flat for several days around that 2 week mark, despite the game's continued success via steam top sellers list.
