Kokoro Connect 7

Some of the desires, like Taichi's sleep was just silly, but the rest. Well the arc is getting so emotional fast and going in the direction I thought it would.
I cant believe the StuCS friends are all on the verge of breaking up and not wanting to see each other. Inaban making tons of mistakes, Yui trying to isolate herself still, and then Taichi being caught off guard. :( Hope Aoki and Iori can stay with Taichi and they dont go through any trials either.

Kuroko no Basket 20

Another set up episode. Kuroko
decides he needs to get better
. Decent amount of comedy but the next episode seems like it will be good with training camp coming up.

Why are you so cynical, Dresden?
haven't watched the ep yet, but would you believe me if i said this is likely going to be the high point of the entire show?

e: but seriously, it's going to get much worse

e2: until the fishing episode

e3: but the fishing episode has Asuna in it so dunno
And that's an incredibly messy and semantics-driven topic so let's just sidestep that entirely, hahah.
probably a good idea, i'm on the FBI watchlist already for advocating for the truth about ancient aliens

I believe you and I'm going to regret watching it the rest of the way!

More like a return to forced drama and annoyingly Gary Stu bullshit, sure.
Even so, I'll still much prefer what's coming than the majority of the SS episodes. Anyway, I've never had too much of a problem with the "forced drama" in SAO,
aside from portions of the ALO arc.

Edit: I do agree about the Gary Stu bullshit, but that's always been present.

Kuroko no Basket 20

A let's get our resolve episode which works really well.

Big plus for finally getting rid of that Generation of Miracles intro. Teppei is still an awesome addition to the show.

Kuroko's Basketball 20

Friendship building was just what I needed today. Episode was really great.
Really glad Kuroko and Kagami made up. Thought Kagami had lost trust in Kuroko and was breaking, but when it was revealed the distance was just for the sake of growing stronger apart, I was glad.
The whole dark court confession scene was good.

Battle Girls: Time Paradox 4-END
Well that was.......
I actually kind of enjoyed it but it needed way more time and character development.
Entire series felt rushed.

Sad about no second season.
What can you expect from a show based on a Pachinko game. lol

There's always Sengoku Collection and Oda Nobuna no Yabou if you're hungry for more.
Why are you doing this to people!

It's interesting how anime turns things that might theoretically be interesting given a very specific context, like metatextuality or genrsaviness, into everyday occurrences with no thought put into them. It's just part of that checklist that has to be ticked.
Yeah, it's weird. You make a character a nerd? That's fine because anime. But when the nerd character becomes self-aware and is a nerd that comments on nerd aspects of the show that they're in? It just becomes pointless self-awareness.

Christmas Cupcakes?

Look at what you made me do, AnimeGAF:

So begins the descent into madness...

also here's a peek of what Lisbeth looked like (Kunori Fumio was a byline of the author)

Well, at least the rest of the SAO arc is commendably quick-paced and conclusive.

There's a degree to which i'm willing to accept gary stu bullshit and i think they just go way overboard as the story progresses.

Kokoro Connect - Things are getting pretty tense but I hope all the desires aren't to yell at your friends/people all the time. Inaba is definitely the most interesting character so far. I'm surprised they haven't tried to keep Aoki away from Yui at all. The sexual desires are going to come at some point, I know it.

She looks so anorexic. Also, I've always imagined her using a giant hammer to forge things for some reason. The tiny hammer just doesn't look right. How can you put your heart into something if you barely have to use any strength to pound with the hammer.

So many lies Dresden. Why?!

I certainly don't use the word to describe all little girls under a certain age in anime--if a child acts as a child realistically would, calling her anything other than a child is unwarranted. I think that I'm a bit more expansive in my use of the term simply because even little girls in anime that aren't blatantly sexualized can exhibit traits that, unintentionally or otherwise, are "passively" sexual.

For instance, consider the pairing of mature mind with an immature body, which is presumably the "ideal" or "the best of both worlds" for some lolicons. Precocious children are far too common in anime for it not to be a significant point of appeal for viewers. Character traits like tsundere play into some males' sexual fantasies of being verbally abused by women.

I understand anyone who strives to be selective with the use of "loli" in order to prevent the original meaning from being lost and I don't disagree with being careful in its use; I may just happen to see loli pandering in places where others would argue that it doesn't exist.

No worries, I'm definitely not going to begrudge anyone their personal stance on when and where the word is appropriate to use as the concept of "loli" itself is at least partially subjective in what it applies to.
I see you've thought this out.

Sword Art Online 07

It wasn't terrible. I'll excuse the already seen harem member get antics and the unrealistic weaponsmithing.

Decent action, nothing that made me hate this episode (that much). I'm ok with the UI porn.

White Knight Chronicles 7

Fuck this fucking show.

Seriously, fuck this fucking show.
Kanna face is amazing though. From now on, every friendzoned character will be "Kanna'ed."

And while I think it's shit, the show has really become a shitty harem show more than anything else. It's too bad, because it was truly repulsive the first couple of weeks. I miss the days when Kirito was fucking Batman.

Liz > Asuna. I blame you, Dresden. Fuck.

He was still Batman throughout the entire episode. A spare fur coat, potions, almost running up the wall, I'm surprised he just didn't already have the damn crystals from the start.

SAO #7

Batman. Seriously though, Asuna lost points this week. There have been three girls besides her and they're all basically more fleshed out than her. She can make sandwiches and she's a tsundere. That's about all I know.

Once again a harem where the main haremette is the worst.
