I think it's exactly what people were expecting, which is why no one is excited about the show.

It's true we didn't expect much.

But at least it could be a so cheesy and shlocky it's good type of thing

With 0 expectations I'll at least give it a shot.

It's not like halo which had all the best lore and music and set pieces etc lined up to be knocked out the park and just fumbled so terribly.
