Not having any luck getting the ad to show up on the Hull Daily Mail website.

Anyone else managed to see it?
Came up for me the first time I loaded the front page but I didn't get a screenshot before closing the tab. Can't get it again now after numerous refreshes, removed already perhaps?

This is the game I was most interested in on the Xbox One so if it comes out for PC I'd gladly buy it

I'd definitely not be shocked if it turned up on PC considering Insomniac own the IP and there has been a bunch of other X1 only titles turn up on PC.

Incredibly, incredibly odd it would sneak into the ad though since the game isn't even out yet though. Really odd. Maybe they meant the trailer was available to watch on X1 or PC lol.

Sure are quite a few SO threads here lately. Nice to see all the interest all of a sudden in such a boring , hipster game that moves at such a glacial pace.

And what exactly is wrong with that? It honestly seems pretty shortsighted to fund the creation of a new IP and not retain the rights to it as a platform owner.

Insomniac is at the point where they want to build their company up by making their own games and retaining their IP. I don't see anything wrong with that either.

The only reason it's not on PS4 is because it was MS Insomniac signed a contract with. Had it been anyone else it would be on PS4 and Sony would have every benefit of funding it outside their cut of the software sales.

Basically I think they both made the best decisions for themselves and that's just how business goes. MS I think is a bit more questionable as they are likely to lose any rights to the IP or keep it exclusive after the first game even though they funded it's development and marketing. We'll see what happens though, if the game hits big it might move enough Xbone to make it worth it and they might have really reasonable agreement to hold onto sequels even if it blows up.
It's anti consumer.

MS at least allow developers the opportunity to keep their IP and sometimes maximise their sales by eventually releasing on other platforms, Sony only care about number one and how a new IP can benefit their platform and their platform alone.

PC gamers? Pfft, they can go beg according to Sony.

The story about a guy punching his girlfriend in the face in McDonalds is about what I'd expect from Hull.

I've been clicking random stories for at least five minutes and haven't had the ad pop up. Seems they might have pulled it already?
Culture city of 2014 indeed!

Sounds like someone made a mistake with the ad. I seriously doubt this game is really coming to pc.

But if true,MS are making a big mistake. Considering how ad the XBO is performing in multiplatform games, their only selling point is the exclusives. If they start releasing them on other platforms, who would want to buy a XBO?
SO may not be a system seller, but it will make people doubt about future XBO "exclusives". If SO is coming to PC, who's to say Quantum break won't get a PC version as well? Or Scalebound? Or phantom dust? Or even MCC?

So what? If you want to play it right now, you can buy it on the X1. If you want to wait for a superior PC version on sale, you'll have to wait. What upsets you about a PC release later? No one's forcing you to do anything, what's the big deal?
No biggie. I think I'll gamefly this just in case.

Hold on wait.

Why are people being so negative on SO? I've been out of the loop on the game the last few months, but last I checked people seemed to be loving the early preview footage. What happened?

Why do people say things like this? People in here (atleast me), who only own a mid-range PC, are genuinely excited to see a game and developer they love (Insomniac) release the game on PC.

Some of us are absolutely ecstatic at the idea of downsampling this game and amping out every single effect. This doesn't boil down to some nefarious list wars.

As for the "neogaf threads" - there is an incredibly diverse PC community here, so don't be suprised to see people jump out of their seats.
I'm saying that every Xbox game that come to PC is an hit to the Xbox brand as a whole. It reduces the platforms value. Pcwindows gamers don't care, and they shouldn't. They just want more games on that platform. However I think everyone agrees that any game that looks great on an xbox eventually gets forums full of port begging from PC gamers.

A bunch of opinions! I guess more footage kinda seeped through with other people playing it, playing the game differently.

Xbox live, the xbone userface and its games will be on pc... Its what I think

Pay the Xbox live yearly fee once and play ur digital games on pc, xbone, tablet etc... That was the reason for their initial vision I think before the 180s happened

I think its Xboxs vision to combat steam as well as introduce the xbone UI to pc, with pad and kinect support... Microsoft is a software company primarily... Their vision is to push the xbox ui into pcs, tablets, even tvs eventually

Question to the pc only gamers... Would U pay yearly for a Xbox live to be able to join in with halo collection, forza etc... Basically the whole xbone catalogue from now on? All through Xbox UI and be able to party up with xbone friends etc

Planet Earth.
Because nobody wants to use Origin and the community is damn near dead because of it.
Origin has nothing to do with it at all, BF3/BF4 and other Origin required games show this - If Origin being required = a dead community, then games like BF4 wouldn't have the active communities like they do.

While its awesome that it could potentially be available on PC, I'm pissed because ALL of the Xbone exclusives I've bought are available on another platform making my Xbone purchase pointless.

Stupid $500 paperweight.

Tbh guys, anything that comes to PC is basically foreverized. It's a blessing no matter what.

You can come back to it years later when you smarten up, looking for some familiar and memorable good times and get some 20K resolution with injected pixar lighting. No need for a Xbox15 hd remaster.

No it wasn't.

And I've never seen "Xbone" used so many times in one post. It makes it sound even stupider then usual.

It's not other people's fault you have no self control and throw away your money needlessly on a game you know there's a good chance of you getting down the line in a vastly superior state. Your argument is essentially "I want a reason for keeping my xbone around, fuck everyone else". I mean shit, are you really so self centered that you can't take a step back, read your posts, and look at how utterly absurd you sound?
I really hope it's Xbox Exclusive now just so you can throw another tantrum like this. This is amusing.

I'm liking this new trend of Xbox One and PC exclusives.

Makes me easier to not buy a console this gen
Yea this is great, I'll be able to buy a Wii U next year instead of Xbone if most Xbone games I'm interested in are ported to PC

You're comparing a series that's been around since 2002 that has a legion of dedicated fans that will follow it wherever it goes to a new IP that released this year that is next to dead on PC.

Saying Origin has nothing to do with it is just wrong, put it on Steam and watch the servers magically fill up.

I don´t see why it wouldn´t down the line.

The situation reminds me of Dead Rising 3 and Ryse:

Someone else owns the IP (Capcom and Crytek respectively) and Microsoft funded the game to have it as a timed exclusive.

I guess the same outcome isn´t all that unlikely.
