And that's it. It's Bomberman, man. It feels like an arcade game with a $50 price tag. The campaign isn't as strong as it could be, but there's enough here to keep the series going until Konami can muster up a little more for the next iteration

Very funny. There's no reason why some of those Mario Parties are not rated 10/10. It's the most fun we've ever had playing video games.

I'm not so sure about that. I think 57863 of the bomberman games are loved by fans, but that is only about half of them.

I'm guessing that it would be very difficult for 8 people to crowd around the small tablet screen and still see what's going on.

Eurogamer (review next week):

Single-player has a delightfully puzzly edge, while multiplayer is as entertaining as ever, winding the clock back to the 1993 SNES game and doing away with the mounts that were introduced in Bomberman 94 and played a part in the all-conquering Saturn Bomberman. Eight players are the maximum here as opposed to the 10 of that particular series' high point, and it'll be interesting to see how that comes together in online multiplayer - especially as Super Bomberman R is one of the only Switch games you can take online over launch weekend.

It's not the best game you can get for the Switch's launch, and I'm not sure whether it'll stick in the memory in a year or two's time when Nintendo's console has a more substantial library. But it is, in its own way, selling a side of the Switch that's a little under-represented at launch, and I think that could just about make it worthwhile. We'll have our full review for you early next week.

For the price, Super Bomberman R is a tough sell. It does deliver on the promise of a return to the classic multiplayer that we all love. And the Switch is starving for content, as all newly launched systems do. If you really love Bomberman’s signature multiplayer, or if you really have to have a new Switch game, then Super Bomberman R will serve its purpose. If you want a full, content-rich experience then you’ll want to wait for something else.

This sounds like a decent/average Bomberman game that will be as outdated as it is now also in 2 months when it will be 10-15 euro. Because that's how much outdated fun is worth.

Reviews seem to be pretty fair compared to what I saw about this game.

I give a crap on Konami simply because they murdered Hudson for me here. And now, they seems to be actively bringing back Hudson IP back to the spotlight. And i for sure are going to reward them here.

They are. Games like Mario Party and Bomberman are reviewed using a scale that is completely irrelevant. "Fun" should be the main category and what the weight of the score is based on. They get rated things like 6/10 but no one in reality will rate it that. They either have a blast and say that was great and their experience depends on their friends, or they don't even care about games like that anyway. I'm not even sure who the audience of these reviews are supposed to be.
