That's pretty amazing. As I child I played this game many times. I still remember how me and my friends wondered how to get up to the higher path in some levels, until my dad revealed to us that there's an elevator hidden.

This Mario Maker remake is pretty amazing and the level layouts are recognisable at first sight.

That's pretty awesome. This is the first mario game I beat and the cartridge is sitting about 2 feet from me right now.

He didn't. As the video states at the beginning, the video has been HEAVILY modified and edited to make it more like Mario Land, as there are many things, like the music, that couldn't be replicated in-game. He just layered in the Mario Land music and sound effects in the video editing.

As someone who grew up playing Super Mario Land on the original Game Boy, I can't wait to give these levels a try. It's such a weird game, but it holds a special place in my heart.

Watching this makes me appreciate just how good that game was for its time. Classic level design has held up well over the years.

No elevator in 1-3

Amazing recreation though, wanted to see how he made all the special enemies the game have. I love how the jumping chinese are made with a woman's boot, a koopa and then a goomba for tis squashed form.
