First, consider this entire post to be spoilers.

I am going to do my best here to put together a summary of what has been shared by Lupinko thus far, and what able-minded individuals have interpreted the hints to be; these are interpretations, they are not categorical declarations - many are even contradictory. I will not be putting the characters in any particular order, just the arguments for them, as well as what else we have received. I will keep things as basic as possible so anyone can follow what is happening.

None of these discoveries are my own; I apologize, but it would take far too much effort to track down who initially made what connections, and this is enough work as it is. My goal is to make the exploration of these riddles more structured. People keep making discoveries, and then they fade away. We are on the right track one moment, and then off in another direction entirely. So, let's try to make progress. Everything Lupinko has said is not contained within this thread, just those things that have been said and have had some reasonable meaning put to them. The only thing said here is that Sandman is not to be relied upon. At the least, this is a disconfirmation of Sandman. Some have taken this as a hint toward Venom. In the Spider-man 3 film, three villains are present: Green Goblin, Venom, and Sandman. Venom (Eddie Brock) asks Sandman to join with him to defeat Spider-man in the film, but they fail. The Green Goblin joins forces with Spider-man in the film.

As long as the amount of Street Fighter characters is kept low I'm fine with X-Men. After all, there's a lot of X-Men. Makes sense there'd be a lot of them worth using.

He could be smaller than Sentinel. Monster Hunter bosses differ in size each time you fight them. I have fought a Rathalos that takes up most of my screen, as we as a Rathalos only slightly larger than my character.

This would not work, because they would have to choose just one weapon. The key part of being a hunter is only bringing one weapon to a hunt. They couldn't pull a "Dante" with a generic hunter - it wouldn't feel right.

The best thing about the realization of a SMvsC3 to me is that it means we will probably never have to wait 10 years again for another sequel. I'd imagine we'll get another numbered sequel (MvsC4) sometime next generation. This makes me very happy.

Honestly, that took me 4 hours to put together. For a while, if people want to make arguments, I'll include them, but I don't intend on doing a bunch of research right now. Some are strongly arguing that it's a hint that Bishop will be included. I'm not a comic guy, so I need it all laid out for me if there's a case one way or the other.

Well, to be more specific on that, the japanese name of Mega Man Star Force is Ryuusei no Rockman, so there's that.

The Ryuusei thing is just another M-Flo lyrics thing, you guys.

M-Flo is short for Meteor-Flo because Verbal refers to himself as "Johnny Astro" so he's always throwing that 'Ryuusei sound' lyrics shit in his songs.

You guys are making mountains out of molehills.

I know, believe me man I did the same yesterday. I did a massive wrap up with explanations and it even had sources accredited to whomever brought stuff up first across forums that I was riiiight about to post, and then MasterChibi and Lupinko came back in and shook the ground beneath us. The bit about Aegis Reflector isn't just about theories anymore, whilst you were gone we were bombarded with more hints that narrowed down the hints towards that character quite a fair bit. To point where we had the right answer infront of us, just we don't know which one it is.

I plan on revising it tonight with the oodles of info we received in the past day.

That was a post Chibi made in the gigantic SRK Lupinko thread about 40 pages in. There's not much merit to that since a ton of guesses were made in those 40 pages. Could be useful in disconfirming though if someone is willing to compile all the guesses in those 40 or so pages, I suppose.

It's really easy for me to get mad at Lupinko. I think he's an asshole for leaking this shit, just like people who post torrents of games/books/movies before they get released. The biggest advertising a fighting game can get is character reveals. If they get leaked, then less websites/magazines/tv shows will be willing to do interviews and specials because they don't have exclusive content to bring in hits. Releasing the whole roster before the game is even announced is fucking with their entire marketing strategy. These people making these games aren't robots, they spend a lot of time working on this to get people excited.

On top of that Lupinko is fucking with people because it gives him a hard on. He doesn't give a fuck if people know what's in the game or not, he just likes people posting about him. I wish he would stop the leaks and just disappear.

To be frank, though, not all fault is to be sought among us (and other people trying to decipher the riddles).
Since nobody can figure it the fuck out, then obviously the riddle is too difficult. Remember that you have to be able to make connections.

Honestly, if I tried, I could link almost every character in the entire Marvel Universe with one or more of Lupinko's tweets (Capcom not so much cause I hardly know any of the more obscure Capcom series).

Of course it's easy to swat your forehead and be like "Oh God you guys are so dumb" if you are sitting on the other side, but on our side, the clueless side, we have trouble finding the right connections. And just calling us names is not gonna make it any better. :V

it wasn't difficult. difficult is like saying we couldn't do it because we're dumb.

the point is, he's an idiot and can't figure out how to design a puzzle. this shit would be simpler if he was like "i'm giving a clue ever 4 hours until comic con that will slow reveal characters. clue one: 5 of the characters have the letter 'e' at least 4 times in their name"

instead, he goes back to "the flounder strikes at dawn" over and over
