I think those two levels might be seperate. They've revealed 2 3DS Zelda stages, what's stopping them from showing off 2 3DS Mario stages already? Besides, the level in today's pic resembles NSMB2 more than it does 3D Land.

That could easily be part of the moving stage.
Yeah, if you re-watch the trailer you can see that the moving platforms in that 3DLand beach level are slowly heading towards a giant warp pipe. There's a similarly large pipe in the newest shot.

Could be wrong, but there's more obscure and cool Mario levels they could use than just 3DLand and NSMB2, which aesthetically are very similar.

Those falling donut blocks are specifically the 3DLand-version in this newest shot though.

Regardless if it is the same stage or not, it looks absolutely great. Also the fact that the picture shows something new ( even if it is just a part of the stage we have yet to see) is good too.

Hmm? I saw the Spirit Choo Choo, what's the other one?

And also, of course it's going to remember NSMB2 more since Smash is on a 2D plane :)

Gerudo Valley from OoT. One of the convenient things about all those 3DS ports near the beginning of its life is it's opened up the chance for some older games like OoT and Star Fox 64 to get some proper representation they might not in the Wii U version.

Plus DKCR'll probably get more than one stage thanks to the 3DS port
which is a good thing

The Kakariko village I believe.

Also, the 3DS version looks incredible. Liking the black outlines on the characters too. Looks surprisingly well detailed.

Sold.

Edit: Gerudo Valley ^

Aw man, I would sell the Spirit Tracks stage down the river for an LttP Hyrule Castle stage :(

Heath, I know it's a stretch, but sign me up for a Monster Hunter sprite if he/she is ever confirmed.

This is my new most wanted character. With the series' hysterical popularity in Japan, a new title coming out to be 3DS exclusive, and the fairly large role the current titles have played in the 3DS and Wii U libraries, I just feel like it'd make sense. Plus, it could win new players to the series (especially in the U.S.) and wouldn't necessarily sell Ninty games, but with the exclusivity of MH4, could definitely sell a few 3DSes.

Suuuper wishful thinking, but I'll hold out hope till the day I die.

That'd be incredible. Choice of weaponry would make him a awesome fighter. But could be waaaay too OP if they used DS etc.

One of the things I like about this new screenshot is it shows how big the stages are in comparison to the characters. One of the biggest problem I had with the stages in Brawl is how small they were in comparison to the characters. Playing on the past Melee stages really reinforced that point. The original Super Smash Bros was fun because you had a lot of room to move around (sometimes a little too much) and I enjoy seeing some roomier stages. Maybe that's just me.

I've only noticed it with the ported stages, but yeah I agree that the levels being roomier is better.

Sector Z (64) > Corneria (Melee)

Just imagine; down B -> 10 seconds sharpening and reloading animation.

Meh, worst Zelda game ever doesn't deserve a stage :p

But it has the best overworld theme out of all the Zelda games

A prediction regarding a Wario stage--it will be a Wario Ware stage very similar to the Wario Ware stage from Brawl, akin to how the Animal Crossing stage is heavily based on the Brawl Animal Crossing stage. Wario Land will continue to be forgotten by Smash.

I don't know how someone could say this; even if you dislike Spirit Tracks, it's at least better than Phantom Hourglass.

Wario Ware was such a good stage I'm not sure if I'd mind that.

Yeah, between that and all the time-outs you'd need to take for cooking and eating your steaks, I'm not sure where the Hunter would find time to actually fight. Then again, the Villager apparently finds time to grow trees...

Worst Zelda Game > Most other games.

The only bad parts about that game were the train tracks (lack of exploration) and the train-based escort-type sidequests. The dungeons, towns, items, etc were all great. At least they tried something different, even if it didn't pan out.

Still hoping for a return to Kanto Skies. Maybe in DLC somewhere down the line.

Really , I can't see Nintendo at least offering stage/item DLC unless they hate money. In fact, it would be smart to use this DLC to build hype for new games and IPs.
