Super Street Fighter IV is an upgraded and souped-up version of the multi-million selling Street Fighter IV, released in 2009. Here is a rundown of what is new and improved in Super Street Fighter IV!

New Characters!

Ten new characters are rendered faithfully in 3D, with some coming from previous Street Fighter games, and others who are totally new! Did we mention that every character will be selectable from the start? No more having to play through Arcade Mode just to unlock characters!

New Ultras n' More!

Every character in the game now come equipped with two selectable Ultra combos, making it even more important to know your matchups. Some Ultra combos are great against projectile characters, while others are better suited against grapplers. Knowing your character and their strengths is more important than ever! In addition, all returning characters have been tweaked and balanced to make sure that everyone has a fighting chance! Vega players, your time has finally come! Guile players... sorry! Haha.

New Bonus Stages!

Bringing back one of the most nostalgic parts of Street Fighter are the bonus stages. There are two bonus stages, Barrel Buster and Car Smasher, which appear during Arcade Mode. In Car Smasher, players must destroy a car in the allotted time, while Barrel Buster tests the player's ability to smash as many barrels as possible.

New Online Modes!

Improving on the 1 on 1 rooms of Street Fighter IV, Super IV introduces a wealth of online options, including Endless Battle (aka Quarter Matches), Team Battle and more! While Ranked Matches are still 1 on 1, every other mode can handle up to 8 players in a lobby at the same time! Also new to the game is the ability to save replays and then broadcast them via the Replay Channel!

Wall of shame for OT2:
Most of mine are probably stream monster posts (information on streams, random comments during) and/or quick one-liners. I wear my badge with pride.

Not me, but I would personally love if Mike Ross or Gootecks wins it by trolling so we can have the best episode of Excellent Adventures ever. :lol

Do you ever actually find time to play this game?

I haven't been play much in the past few weeks, since my XBL ran out. I do hit up training mode every now and then But relative to my overall post count, I definitely don't play enough. :lol

Is it just me, or is the quality of commentary inversely proportional to the number of sponsors a tournament has?
lol focus fire has hella sponsors. I always just see it as being proportional to the scene.

I agree. I really want to support this tourney and watch, but the commentators feel like they are dead. I know the can't get to rowdy because of the sponsors but they need to bring some kind of excitement to the matches. Hopefully it will improve when the actual tourney starts.

It's moments like this that remind me that haunts kind of has a point when he goes on about how important colour is to commentary.

Also, having the actual action shunted off to the side is not a good look.
Thinking maybe we should update the GT and PSN ID list since I'm sure there are people missing on it since it was last updated.

Cammy can still use her divekick like yun/yang, she just can't use it like rufus anymore, completely different type of divekick. Yun/Yang's divekick are nothing like cammy/rufus divekicks.

Whether it's a nerf or not (this will be determined by how good her new normals are) Cammy is essentially a different character since she won't be having a 50/50 mixup when she's in. She went from being a well-rounded Rufus to a more well rounded Balrog.

I still can't iterate enough how much I hate scrubs complaining about how SF4 is a turtle fest, but at the same time complain about cammy's divekick. Congrats, capcom listened!

Continuing this, yeah.. Yun and Yang do have different dive kicks from the instant ones that Rufus has / Cammy had, but if they're anything like the 3s ones (distance / arc varies by button) they'll still have more control over theirs with less effort than Cammy has to put in.

We'll see how the changes work out for Cammy, but I'm not really interested in a new play style for her.
OT3. This game has legs. The community, the rivalries, the one character specialists, the streams & their monsters, the commentary, pad vs stick, markman wuvs kadey, tier moaning, and lag. Can't wait to see what 2011 will bring for Street Fighter and fighters in general.

Missed the Sako-Momochi match.

Momo seemed to have an identity crisis, unless the Rose/Shoto/Viper matchup is that bad.

It'll be interesting to see who wins the free ticket.

Also, GJ to Gamerbee, he's been on a tear of late. Justin Wong, Alex Valle, Tokido, Mago, Sabin, etc are all accomplished players and from Evo to now, he's definitely made a name for himself. The only other player that's shot up so quick is Vangief.

good credit (by proxy)

Thanks for the shoutout, but there's an extra 's' on that last word. I'm the only one character specialist that matters.
