Switch to get docked mode performance boost in upcoming firmware?

Did you notice this following excerpt from this Eurogamer article: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2017-fast-rmx-showcases-switches-power-over-wii-u

In docked mode, the game jumps regularly between 900p and 1080p - or even lower in very select circumstances - while portable mode drops the resolution ceiling to 720p where minor drops in pixel-count can also occur, mostly in pre-race fly-bys. From what we understand, there is a small issue with the current firmware on Switch which causes a slight drain on GPU resources - once corrected, we're told that Fast RMX should sustain a full 1080p in docked mode.

So basically, unless I'm reading it wrong, Shin'en told Eurogamer an upcoming firmware bug fix update will yield somewhat better performance for Fast RMX in docked mode.

But, can we expect that same bug fix to also yield improved performance in other games as well? Will those occasional frame drops in BOTW decrease, and perform more like handheld mode which has few if any frame drops? That would be fantastic if true. I personally enjoy playing the game in TV mode, and while the current BOTW docked performance is in no way game breaking, it would be ideal if it performed as smoothly as handheld mode.
