I know Musk's worked up about it for apolitical reasons, but that red/blue pill meme to come out of The Matrix basically reflects the US political divide today. If you're still defending Obama, Biden and the Dem party for what they put Trump, Flynn and the whole country through these last few years you're probably a lot happier living in blissful ignorance and unbothered by the press' lack of interest in seeking the whole truth.

Near the top of the piece: "Taking the red pill" is a common internet trope about an individual shifting their political views rightward." 🤦‍♂️

isn't the rose symbol for dem soc?
Yes, the red rose is a symbol for various/all socialist and communist movements.
Not just dem soc but it is used internationally.

The red symbolizes the "blood of the proletariat heroes" that is spilt during the revolution.
That is why the USSR flag was red too.

EDIT: would like to see if 4chan can change the red rose to become an alt-right white supremacy symbol. That would be funny.

White knights? maybe a different type of white knigths.

Let's see. Lets try ...

The red rose symbolizes and celebrates the stains of blood on a klan members hood when lynching black slaves.

Maybe we can get 4chan to work out the details and get the symbol to become officially a hate symbol. :)
That would be funnnnnnnny.

These people hate free speech unless they agree with it. It's really sad that all the hate and projection they direct to the Right they themselves are most guilty of. And they're either too stupid to see it or they simply don't give a fuck they're hypocrites. I suppose both could be true.

They taste like cherry jelly bellies y'all. Or cinnamon if you prefer those. And once you take one, you can't stop winning. You'll get sick of winning, but it won't stop.

Not going to lie. I priced out an Unplugged S-APEX Tesla, just so I could get a "REDPILL" license plate.

Kind of wish I had $100+ K in the bank to order it.

Here's a guy who was very likely center-left or libertarian-left essentially openly embracing conservative values while telling other people to do the same.

The left should look at this and ask "why" while attempting to fix whatever pushed Elon away, but they lack the introspection and critical thinking skills to do that so instead they will just call him a racist and a misogynist, further pushing away more people who are center-left.

While what you say has merit and truth, the "red pill" goes far beyond the bipartisan paradigm.

Taking the red pill doesn't mean "conservative values" in and of itself. It means to distrust the narrative. In our current environment, the narrative happens to be controlled and manipulated by far-left ideologues, though.

Waking up to lies doesn't mean embracing conservatism, nor does being anti-far-left make one conservative. And I point that out as a conservative.

Is she purely saying Elon Musk is a racist because he said "Take the red pill"?
Yes. People with black & white ideological thought barely think outside the box. The whole point of "red pilling".

They accept their master's "truth" of what it means, instead of questioning why their master's would say that in the first place. Hint: those serving blue pills, don't want you taking the red one. Independent thought is their worst enemy, and renders them powerless in at least one facet.

Michigan's governor called the lockdown protestors "misogynistic and racist"

In other words, yes, the Left is more than happy to sloppily brand someone a "racist" for the most mundane reasons conceivable. Where have you been the last 10 years?
