Taylor Swift's new Music Video (Possibly sponsored by BLACKED)

Sorry to derail this race debate thread, but i think this is Swifts weakest album.
Awful lyrics and she needs to stop working with Jack. Bored first round in and won't stream it a second time.

Bonus:
Cruel Summer: I'm drunk in the back of the car

The Man: Would you like to worry about drinkin' and dollars?

Paper rings: The wine is cold

Cornelia St: Drunk on something stronger than the drinks in the bar

Death By A Thousand Cuts: I get drunk, but it's not enough

London Boy: And you know I love Springsteen, faded blue jeans, Tennessee whiskey

False God: Got the wine for you

YNTCD: But you're takin' shots at me like it's Patrón

Her "boyfriends"...
Joe Jonas
Lucas Till
Taylor Lautner
John Mayer
Cory Monteith
Jake Gyllenhaal
Eddie Redmayne
Zac Efron
Conor Kennedy
Harry Styles
Calvin Harris
Tom Hiddleston
Joe Alwyn

....You do the math and tell me this isn't some corporate play to sell records and brand herself as WOKE!

Except there isn't anything in the song or video that points her to want to be viewed as "WOKE". If you heard the song on the radio, nobody would think she is trying to be "WOKE" as you say.

Going out of the way to show how she has a family with a member of a race she has never shown any interest in. Your right. But the video is clearly trying to send a message of diversity and the positives of bi racial marriage. Hence woke. Its manufactured wokeness incarnate.

It wouldn't be so infuriating if It wasn't so obviously pandering to a certain tribe's disgusting sexual fetish. And it's not even representative of reality in the slightest (among married white women, for instance, fewer than 0.7% have a black husband.) Really puts it into perspective when every single new tv show, movie, comic, video game, music video, etc. all push the same thing.

Why is it infuriating? You're getting pissed off over shit you really have no control over. Invest those emotions into things you can actually control. You're better off.
Stay stress free.

So where are ALL these movies and videos that you are seeing that's "PUSHING" the Black man with White Woman agenda that you are so scared of?

It's everywhere, kind of hard to make an exhaustive list, if you haven't noticed all of the tokenism and forced diversity in media in the past few decades, I'm not sure what to tell you. Despite being a fraction of the overall populations they are a part of, blacks are massively over represented in media. Do a little reading about interracial representation in media, it's interesting that that specific interracial coupling is seen more than any other despite a preponderance of other ethnic pairings. You just start to wonder why after a while is all.

Re: the unusual proliferation of interracial couples in media...

I always suspected it was to do with diversity and representation. That's a big goal for Hollywood, advertisers, etc., but when a couple traditionally is the same race, it takes up two 'slots' for that representation, not allowing for that variety they want.

Hence, interracial couples.

I'm not necessarily rubber stamping or against their obsession with getting every type of person on screen at the same time, but it makes more sense from that perspective.

Damn yall mad Taylor might have touched a black man's penis at one point. The sensitivity is on 1,000! Feels a little snowflakish to me. :messenger_tears_of_joy::messenger_tears_of_joy:

So where are ALL these movies and videos that you are seeing that's "PUSHING" the Black man with White Woman agenda that you are so scared of? And AGAIN (for the 3rd time because clearly you two aren't smart enough to get it) you are speaking about national stats, yet are overlooking that those numbers will be lower than the interracial numbers in and around major cities where most of these movies and shows are taking place.

Some of yall are really starting to tell on yourselves. :pie_thinking:
It's way too blatant for anyone with any kind of pattern recognition to not see it. You might be telling on yourself. 🤔

pretty much. she is country royalty, and runs her music empire out of Tennessee. no doubt all the millions of dollars she rakes in gets taxed and a lot of that money goes to her Republican state. she avoided coming out for Hillary for similar reasons. doesn't really want to alienate the Wal-Mart moms who buy her records. black people have been props in her work before (see "Shake it Off"), they will continue to be, they are a profitable gimmick for her.

I see a ton of mixed race couples of all different race types in my community. Nothing wrong with that in my book. People aren't doing it because they are woke either, people just like who they like.
Your right. But its telling whan Taylor "doesn't like black people". Look at how many black guys she has dated 0 and how many white guys she dated 13+. Then tell me who she prefers.

This is the most honest post in this thread. It's terrible looking. THIS is what you guys should be mad at.

Manufactured wokeness? What would you think if Taylor Swift..................say started dating a black man?!? *gasp* Maybe she's trying to ease her fans into the possibility first.

I'm black just to let you know. So when I see black people in any media, no alarm or alert goes off in my head. I just see people that look like me and my family on a TV or movie screen. I no "we" only make up 13% of the population, but in my everyday life, I'm seeing black folks everywhere all the time. My assumption is that many people in this thread just don't see other races in their everyday life.

It's way too blatant for anyone with any kind of pattern recognition to not see it. You might be telling on yourself. 🤔

Yall keep going to the "pattern recognition" phrase, yet don't seem to understand that those patterns change depending on where you live. If I'm telling on myself, it'll be that I'm okay with visually seeing a black man with a white woman (again I'm a black man) and not be affected negatively by it on any level at all. In this particular video, it was cute (EXCEPT FOR THAT NASTY PIZZA :sick::sick:).

Can we just agree that T Swift sucks and move on. Christ...
She's no Avril Lavigne

interracial relationships are absolutely fine even if they're being pushed in the media.

Did anyone say they aren't ok? I'm in one myself, I'm dating an Asian. I still raise an eyebrow when I see every piece of media for decades tries to sell me a take on reality that doesn't reflect the majority's experiences.

And stuff with non diverse casts are a)basically non-existent nowadays and b) questioned for their non adherence to wokeness when they are produced. It has basically become taboo to depict non-diverse experiences (unless you make black genre movies). I'm actually shocked the Cohen Brothers were able to get away with having such low levels of diversity in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.

The stereo type for blondes couldn't be more truer.
While not appling to everyone.
More often then not you will see blondes in a interracial relationship.
But honestly I don't see anything wrong with the video.
And 20 years ago I wouldn't have said there was anything wrong with it either.

There's a million things with a mostly all-white cast. It's in most of the stuff I watch on TV and movies.

Even my normie friend mentioned something about it recently. 9 times out of 10 you see an interracial couple it's black man with white woman.

To be fair, we really don't see many Latinos and Asians in your average everyday film or TV show in general though either.

i don't care about interracial couples, that is totally fine. but this is a 100% woke move. her fans were expecting her actual boyfriend to be in the video. instead, it's her backup dancer, pretending to be her boyfriend. her real boyfriend of course is a standard white bread looking chad:

Nope. People always forget they exist. My friend mentioned it though because he's white and prefers black women but rarely sees people like him in movies and tv.

Going through the new Twin Peaks again recently, I was struck by how white (aka non-diverse) the cast was. Many extras were diverse, but the main and support characters were almost uniformly white.

Lynch confirmed Nazi?

Not surprising in a majority white country to me. The difference between now and a couple decades ago though is that all white casts are basically forbidden/heavily frowned upon. I have read several think pieces about the problematic levels of diversity in GoT, IASIP, the aforementioned Buster Scruggs, Twin Peaks as WindomURL WindomURL mentioned, etc. It will not go by unnoticed if you produce something with no tokens in it.

that's for the state where the show is set. David himself is from Montana, which is even more white, like 89%. i'd say he nailed accurate representation.

Aren't black women the most offended/upset when black men date white women? Talking about taking all the good brothers etc... ?
Actually, now that you say it. It seems quite discriminatory, it's like they're telling black females that they're not good enough, and that the black men should choose white women over them.

the media loves to focus on mixed couples over showing a powerful black man and black woman working together. for a system of white supremacy, that is the least desired imagery, so you see black people isolated in most mainstream media (Black Panther has no Black Panthress, Cyborg doesn't even have a dick). mixed couple imagery keeps the story centered on the white people, it keeps them involved. he is just there, the centering is on HER, on the white person, for having the braveness or whatever.

the white woman-black man dynamic has a long and complicated history in the US, and has often been wielded to perpetuate toxic stereotypes and justify lynchings. there is a long history to this imagery. here the power structure is similar, the white woman remains in power, since she naturally benefits from white supremacy, and she earns all the clout from this coupling, and money from the video and song. she is in power double so here since he is IRL her backup dancer for tours. she is effectively his boss.

of course despite the title, they aren't lovers, this has nothing to do with sex, or love, it's just posturing. or marketing, rather.

C'mon dude, why do you think this song is getting any press? Becuase of the fucking lyrics?

It's not a coincidence this song is on blogs and people pushed in the media as "daring." That is by design. It's part of the marketing. Why are you so angry people are pointing out reality?

Taylor Swift has denounced nazi's retards from that website
republicans
her hometown/state
YET
She's ONLY taken WHITE dick

Maybe Swift is a secret nazi? discuss

This is clear pandering to all the POC's crying that she's only with White guys. Maybe keep up the pressuring, and bullying until she gets with a POC IRL or she kills herself like that poor girl who was in porn.

Perpetually Offended

A growing number of black men are offended by it too.

Oddly, I love seeing SOME interracial couplings like TV Iris and Barry/Cisco and Kamilla and SOME BM/WF relationships (I remember seeing two pairs of black people (male and female) out with their significant others (white woman and Asian Male) and thinking they looked so good together.

For me, it's the genuineness of the pairing. That's it's literally for love. But sometimes you know it's because they literally think a white mate is significantly better than having a black, Asian, etc mate (anything other than their own "race"). That being with a white mate means they'll never use you, abuse you, treat you worse than a mate of your own "race" or a mate of another non-white "race".

But anyway...
