I agree that the screenshots look ugly. Luckily Tetris is the best game ever and it's going to be so fun regardless of how bad it looks!
I even played tetris worlds for GBA just because even a bad version of tetris (regular tetris) is better than most other games!!

Stupid to put those themes in the game. A simple but elegant design a la Polarium would fit a lot better. I expect a lot of people will regret from those designs, an no one fan will purchase the game because it's Mario and cia theme based.

Well, let's take at least the good parts. Multiplayer single card and Wifi enabled, that's just perfect. This game coming with Brain series, polarium, electroplancton, trauma center, lost in blue, phoenix wright, meteos... this sistem is getting a library that suits gaming for a broad. huge broad audience.

Nintendo is on the right chanel, that's for sure.

They are different gamemodes. Every mode has its own theme and look. I don't think you will be able to choose a theme. But who knows...

I probably would have bought it anyway as long as it's a Tetris game published by Nintendo, but I'm more interested because of the themes.

I don't know, Tetris DX wasn't bad. Yeah, the GB Tetris was still better due to music and a level cap at 9 as opposed to even an only-slightly-above-average player like me getting up into level 23 or so in TDX, but it wasn't bad.
