Microsoft's main booth last year (4100) was 27329,23 sq ft. Microsoft's booth this year, 1601, is 15000 sq ft. So the booth this year is around 55% of that which they had last year. Even less if you cound the extra smaller booth, 4000, they had; that was 600 sq ft.

Could it be because they are strictly having just regular game stations. Every year they have a ton of wasted space to wow press, like Gears of War 4 video presentation, the walled off Halo Wars 2 booth, the Halo 5 Hololens presentation into a military truck looking thing to play the game in. If it's more for the public they don't want to sit and watch some dude talk for 30 minutes playing Gears of War 4 badly. They would rather play it, but I also think there isn't a limited "2,500" only consumer passes or whatever the number was. It's still not sold out last I checked.

Could Microsoft have a booth somewhere else like ea? Seems much smaller than last year and I'm sure they would want more space to show off Scorpio compatible games?

Damn, this year is going to be nuts. I see that XSEED is right near the entrance, so RIP short lines.

Also interested to see that Sega Europe will be in attendance. Please don't bring a poverty setup. Though I will laugh if the booth is just two guys and a table. :)

Aksys's space is small this year. I'll probably swing by to say hello.

Also Capcom, please bring like 20 setups this year like you did in 2015. It really helped lines move faster.

They have a bunch of stores around the country they could host an "E3 Special Event" at for a few days and feature a Scorpio or 2 at each store to show it off to the public and let people get hands on with certain things.

I am pretty sure MS also has something for the press to come and play their games like a week before E3. Tom Warren knew about the xbox one s and its size the day before E3.

Also they have their thing on Sunday so they will probably have some stuff playable there plus fan events that they announced this past week as well.

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
Nintendo continuing to have the biggest floor space
edit: actually sony might be bigger this year

Assuming this is roughly final, I wonder if this is a case of MS having less games to show, or just less booths per game.

Given this E3 is public and will have far more footfall, I'd have to imagine it's the former.

Between Switch and Scorpio, this should be one hell of an E3. If we get Halo 6 and Metroid it might be one of my favorite expos ever.

SFV DLC for one (I think Capcom said that they have some 30th Anniversary thing planned), plus possibly whatever Itsuno's current project is.
Ah, I completely forgot about SFV. If we take that into account then playable MvC:I, SFV and RE7's DLCs will probably cover most if not all of that booth.

Keeping expectations in check.

The floor space at this point looks a bit fuller compared to last year... will be interesting to see how booth reservations continue but so far it isn't a bad showing. The public news may help cure the empty spaces even if it's smaller vendors renting.

Pie and Beans

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Someone gave Phil the ol' "more with less" speech huh.

Halo 6 seems like a safe bet. That's probably Microsoft's smoothest path to Scorpio excitement from fans.

CGI trailer probably. Then announcement of a smaller Halo title for next Fall.

Edit: Maybe Halo 5 campaign DLC and Halo Wars DLC? With Halo Wars 2 only just coming out now I can't really see a new Halo announcement aside from a teaser for 6.

Probably completely wrong here, but has Nintendo nicked Microsoft's usual placement for themselves this year? I remember it's usually Sony and Microsoft with their main booths facing each other, but that doesn't seem to be the case this time.

Edit - Yeah, I am completely wrong!

Yeah, I know what you mean, it seems like it's just perception since we always get that Sony/MS blue and green hallway shot lol.

They just need to keep doing what they did last year - fast pace with games and no bloat. They'll have the content.

Yeah, I'm expecting another packed show from them.

Halo 3 Anniversary is probably a lock.

A bit puzzled at the MS booth. You figure with the Scorpio blowout that's bound to happen that they'd have a big booth front and center. I wonder if they're planning to host something off site this year? Only reason I can really think of.

Yeah, I'm expecting another packed show from them.
I think Sucker Punch new IP, From Software (exclusive?) announcement, and possibly one more big title will be the front of the show. Aside from that, just updates on stuff we know about like Days Gone, God of War and Spider-Man.

Should be another great show.

Crazy to think they had such a good show at PSX just a few months ago and yet little of that content will be shown at E3 this year.

Yep. So much stuff they can choose from.

Definitely not. Phil said there is no Halo FPS this year.

He said that there wasn't a big Halo FPS this year. I take it to mean that their biggest games (i.e., the new ones) are all non-Halo games. I doubt they will pass up the oppurtunity to create an Anniversary version of the best selling Halo of all time.

I imagine they're probably going to show RE2 Remake now that RE7 is out

Edit: Warner Bros. is primed for a strong E3 in my opinion. Shadow of War, Injustice DLC, perhaps the Damian Batman game and we're getting about due to see the next proper Lego release.

Sony should be starting to taper off on PS4 game announcements now right if PS5 is coming in 2019/2020?

I forget how this works in previous years.

2018 and 2019 already appear packed as it is right now.

What? No. Sony is finally in the zone where the first parties are firing on all cylinders. The hits are going to keep coming.

That Naughty America booth getting mighty close to the big N.

Hang on do they do games? :O

No as far as I know they usually presents porn technologies, guess they're gonna focus on porn VR, I don't know how they get a booth each year, always thought E3 is about games and things that are related to games only.

Destiny 2 is going to be the biggest announcement this E3. Most talked about and most awarded. It's my most anticipated game.

I hope it's going to be great

I was going to post the same.
I'm surprised that they would downsize with Scorpio news at E3 (even if it's a mid gen refresh, I'd think they do a big song and dance about it).

Seems to me like they might opt for fan events away from E3 but considering the public is allowed this year, it'd make sense to have bigger booths to show their stuff.

Id like to see any news related to RE2 Remake, but I'm not getting my hopes up. :\

I think they'll show something from REmake 2 but I doubt it'll be playable at their booth.
