Legendary horror game director Shinji Mikami sent the Internet into a spin when he announced that he’d be attending E3 2019 – but now we know that The Evil Within maker will appear on stage. The veteran – who fronts Tango Gameworks – wrote that he’d wrapped up rehearsals on Twitter earlier today, suggesting that he will pop up during Bethesda’s press conference.

While speculation is largely centred on The Evil Within 3 right now, it’s possible that his team may have come up with something new in the two or so years since The Evil Within 2. All will be revealed imminently, and you can find out when and where to watch Bethesda’s press conference through the link.

Please be Evil Within 3.

Come on Mikami. If I get EW3 alone, this will have been a successful E3 for me.

I think we're finally getting God Hand 2....
That's a Capcom IP.

Mikami is the founder of Tango Gameworks.
He put his money on the line to found his own studio.
How and why would he be related to any Capcom IP/games?
He's probably going to announce something that his dev studio is working on.

Tango Gameworks is a Japanese video game developer based in Tokyo. Founded in March 2010 by Japanese creative director Shinji Mikami, previously of Capcom, the company was acquired by ZeniMax Media in October that year. Tango Gameworks developed The Evil Within, a well-received survival horror game, which was released in 2014, and The Evil Within 2, released in 2017.
